A KGB agent was combing Gorky Park when he spotted two men speaking ardently with a woman fitting the description of Laynia Petrovna.

As the two men appeared to be formidable, the KGB agent summoned back up. He needed to assume that they too might be super powered.

As he summoned back up he was overheard by Natasha, who roosted above him perched in a tree.

She dropped down and took out the agent. When the back up arrived, she took them out too.

The meeting between the Rocket Red and the Winter Guard went without a hitch and the resistance was born.

Captain Beyond returned the Black Widow to America but granted her the power to return to Russia whenever she felt an urgent need to, but she could only bring herself.

The next day, the Red Guardian arrived at the Kremlin.

He was treated suspiciously and they demanded to know why he hadn't reported sooner as they had reason to believe that he had been in the country much longer.

Alexei explained that he had been returned to Russia in Siberia and was forced to work his way back to civilization.

They seemed to be satisfied with that explanation and sent him to report to the Red Ghost.

Yelena Belova remained under the auspices of the KGB.

All right let me wrap this up. I think I did a good job showing how things are politically in Russia in this reality and managed to set up the heroes as a resistance of sorts.

Next up, I tackle the thankless job of bringing in the Street Fighter, Gears of War and Halo figures into this mix. This is gonna be tough because I've never played Gears Of War or Halo. If it had been up to me, I would have gone with Mortal Combat. They seemed like they would have fit right in for heroclix, but what do I know?

You might say, why not bring them in separately?

Well because I like to mix and match when I can. I try to bring in villains that have never encountered the hero if possible or at least have had little contact with each other. Gears of War and Halo are pretty similar so they'll mesh well but I think the Street Fighter characters are over the top. I'll have to tone them down a bit for story purposes.,
