BOUNCING BEAST: Leap/Climb. When Beast uses it and moves 4 squares or less, after resolutions, he can make a close attack.
What happens if Beast tries to initiate Bouncing Beast and fails to make a roll to break away? Can he still make the close attack or not?
Thanks for your time.
Edit: Just found the answer. On page 11.
If a character is adjacent to an opposing character (or
another effect requires breaking away) and would begin a
move, that character must successfully “break away” first.
To break away, roll a d6. - : That character succeeds
in breaking away from all opposing characters adjacent
to it (and can move as planned). If the character fails to
break away, it doesn’t move and is not considered to have
moved.
Additionally, the next paragraph outlines why Beast gets to attack:
Quote
If you failed to break away, and that move was part of an action that character was given or that character’s special triggered effect, you must immediately resolve the entire action or special triggered effect, though any “after resolutions” effects still trigger.
Bouncing Beast says to attack after resolutions, so that still triggers.
