a-fist SHADOWS, ARISE!: Smoke Cloud, Poison. When Nightshade uses Poison, opposing characters in hindering terrain within 5 squares are also dealt the damage.
Does she need to be adjacent to trigger the ranged poison within 5 squares ?
That's bonkers. Just out of curiousity, is there a reason why they moved away from wording like:
Quote
(Damage) Centuries of Magical Experience: Doctor Fate can use Enhancement and Empower. When he does, other friendly characters within 3 squares are considered adjacent.
Emphasis mine. White Queen has a similar power but it's worded differently than this set from 3 years ago.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
UNLOCKING YOUR POTENTIAL: Empower, Enhancement. When White Queen uses either power, she can instead affect friendly characters within 3 squares if they share a keyword with her.
Part of the wording difference is just the change of how special powers are worded with the new rules.
But speaking of the differences, does White queen get to use Enhancement and Empower on herself? She is within 3 squares, friendly and shares a keyword with herself. Doctor Fate's power specifies "other" friendly characters. So it seems to me White Queen could enhance/empower herself.
For what it's worth, the old poison required being adjacent to an opposing figure to use it... that might be what raised the concern/question.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

No it didn't.
2014 PAC-
Quote
POISON At the beginning of your turn, give this character a free action and deal 1 damage to each adjacent opposing character.
2017 PAC-
Quote
POISON FREE: If this character hasn’t moved or been placed this turn, deal 1 damage to all adjacent opposing characters.
There's no difference in that regard. And there have been plenty of figures in the past with special Poisons like this.

I believe there was one earlier than that. I don't have access to my older PACs at the moment to verify, but I believe out was in a previous incarnation as there was a complaint about the Feat Toxic Burst in regards to it... but now that you say it, I'm delighting myself and thinking maybe I'm thinking about a special power akin to poison...
