From Batman 161 comes The Bat-Mite Hero, the result of Bat-Mite getting his feelings hurt by Batman telling him to stop being a pest and deciding to create his own hero to make Batman jealous. First he tries making an average joe his hero, than a professional wrestler for someone with muscle, then a strong man with crime fighting knowledge that turns out to be a gangster before dumping the Bat-Mite hero idea entirely.
This clix goes further and asks the question what if Bat-Mite kept trying to make his perfect Bat-Mite hero? The result is hopefully a pretty fun and unique figure to play.

Whenever The Bat-Mite Hero takes a click he gets an improvement over the last model. This happens either with the last guy getting KO'ed (he takes damage and Bat-Mite reduces the attackers combat values -1 in revenge) or by pushing, in which case Bat-Mite gets fed up and hands the guy his walking papers with a snap of his fingers. The "new" Bat-Mite Hero can either be placed in your starting area of take over where the last one let off.
There's a lot of ways to pay The Bat-Mite hero. You could be an impatient Bat-Mite and push him to his last click to get a real super-hero. You could try and get as many of those -1 combat value Bat-Mite strikes as you can by constantly throwing The Bat-Mite hero at foes. Or you could click him only when you need him to power-up in a pinch.
And if Bat-Mite gives up on The Bat-Mite Hero in exasperation, you can still select one of your own figures to get his limited perplex. Maybe one of them can be Bat-Mite's hero?
From Batman 147 comes Bat-Baby! When evil scientist Garth's strange ray device transforms Batman into a 4 year old. The mob thinks they've done better than kill Batman, but Batman manages to adapt to his new body and strike terror into their hearts as the Bat-Baby!

We already have a Gotham by Gaslight Bat-Man, but he's not the most accurate figure. There's nothing in his two OGNs that warrant him having such great traits. The Bat-Man in Gotham by Gaslight and its sequel Master of the Future is more of a brawler bat than a genius bat. He never even threw a batarang. His dial reflects a young close-combat specialized Bruce that switches from brutal power on his odd clix to deadly precision on his even.
I never much liked Gotham by Gaslight. It was a pretty boring story. Is the cartoon any good?

This one wasn't easy to make, and I think I went a little overboard with the special powers and traits. But I wanted to get everything about the Tim Burton Batman on one dial.
Batamor is a trait I want to apply across a couple of Batmen, and I'll be retroactively applying it to the JLA/Planetary Bruce Wayne. Every Batarmor will grant a full dial of a damage reducer and one or two other bonuses. This Batman's batarmor was great against bullets, hence the ESD and toughness, and allowed him to easily block swords with his gauntlets (remember that scene with the Joker henchman with the swords?) so he nulls adjacent BCF.
Hold On lets him carry, because he did a lot of carrying Kim Bassinger around Gotham. The consistent speed value is from him using a lot of lines and ropes to move around--he might get tired, but his tools don't. The sidestep is from him doing the "vanish when your back is turn" thing as he did with pre-chemical dip Joker and phasing/teleport from him suddenly appearing and exiting through the roof.
His defense special is taken from that 170 point Batman, and it represents how Batman fought in the Burton films with little movement and a lot of taking blows on the body armor chest to respond with a counterpunch.
His attack special introduces something I'll be applying to the "general" Batmen of this set--pick a power utility belts using gear and moves taken from the movies.
I'm Batman is a trait I'm rather proud of because I think it captures the spirit of ambush predator Batmen very well. This isn't a Batman that charges in on a bat rope to kick a criminal. This is a Batman that uses shock and awe and more or less gives criminals the first move where he spreads his cape like Dracula. So long as enemies are "surprised" and haven't seen Batman since their last turn he gets +1 defense and shape change. He can also pick a single adjacent opposing figure to intimidate and use perplex against. This limited "intimidation" perplex is an ability that'll show up in the Tim Burton Joker figure I'm planning on making later to further the theme of the first movie that Batman and the Joker are similar.
Tim Burton Batman isn't that much of a fighter with modest combat values and 5 clix, but he's hard to hit with ESD, CR, and if you use his trait right +1 defense, Shape Change, and perplex to bump down an attack. If used the right way, an opponent will effectively have to hit a 21 to hit him.
That being said, circumstance drops his defense value dramatically--an outwitter, being seen since the last turn, a second figure he can't perplex, so once the shock and awe of Batman's sudden appearance dies down he becomes far more easy to hurt.
From Batman: Reign of Terror comes a Batman fused with the Scarlet Pimpernel who helps aristos escape the cruelties of the French Reign of Terror.
His first two clicks are him doing his standard operating procedure--gliding in, dropping smoke, rescuing aristos under gunfire, then smuggling them away with disguises. His next two clicks represent him cornered and forced to fight--he was hesitant to draw his blade against foes, either from a code of honor or just the fact that he once served with the very men he had to fight, and that's why the bcf doesn't come to the end of his dial when he has no choice.
This Batman's Robin is actually his sister, and she can spawn in at any time to provide a snappy rescue with a hot air balloon and plenty of smoke.

...Well, you kind of do figure it out at the end of the story but eh, read it yourself.
I rather like this dial. It gives the sense of a tough, grizzled Batman who knows his stuff and a Batman that exists only in hearsay and blurry photographs. He's hard to hit and hits hard.

From JLA: The Shogun of Steel comes one of the ninja bats and one of the female bats--komori, the vengeful bat. She's a member of league of justice in a world where feudal Japan is controlled by an evil shogun of steel who killed her family.
So there is a world where Batman's parents were killed by Brainiac--and where he's also Ibuki.
She didn't do much in the story besides engage in a relationship with the settings Superman (Batman v Superman? More like Batman loves Superman) and knock some robot heads off with one of those ninja ropes, but she presented me with a chance to create a straightforward dial without UTILITY BELTS and other such powers.

For those of you that don't know, Tangent comics was an interesting little elseworld experiment in which DC made a universe where character names from the DC universe were used for new characters, concepts, and teams as different from the original as possible (for instance, the Tangent Metal Men were a group of elite soldiers, not a team of robots). The tangent universe crossed over once with the main DC Universe, and sometimes the characters cameo in stories about the multiverse.
This is the tangent Batman--not a shadowy vigilante of the night, but a knight from Camelot who betrayed King Arthur and was thus cursed by Merlin to live forever inside Castle Bat. Throughout his immortal existence, he can only interact with the outside world through a suit of cursed armor powered by his soul. In the modern day, he fights against evil as a form of repentance for his past sins--a dark knight for the modern day.
Personally I always thought they could have made a tangent Batman a little more different the regular Batman. This isn't even the first Batman that's been a member of King Arthur's court! In fact, he's the third!
But hey, living suit of knight armor! Put him on a team with Etrigan and Shining Knight!

Sir William plays a lot like the Gorn from the Star Trek set with his long dial, gradually decreasing stats, and health recovery. He has a full dial for invulnerability, but unlike the Gorn needs to take a power action to heal himself (which represents him literally putting pieces of his armor back together)
His dial represents him gradually losing parts of himself. He starts with his sword and shield, then he loses the shield and switches to holding the sword with both hands. Then he loses his sword and his wings and hobbles around doing what he can, even if that's throwing himself in harms way for his allies (represented by defend).
His anti-shape change trait represents his origin story as a knight of Camelot who was seduced into rebelling against Arthur by an evil enchantress. His exploit weakness shows the power of his sword--he was able to kill the tangent Ultra-Humanite, a planetary threat, by finding and stabbing his soul with it. It's not Excalibur, but anything capable of doing that should be represented by the dreaded exploit weakness bcf combo.

And here we have ye olde Bat! The ribbed cape, purple gloved (but only in the first issue), gun-shooting (once, twice if you count killing a vampire with one, thrice if you count machine gunning a monster-man with the bat autogryo's gun) Bat!
Isn't it weird that this Bat always shows off the gun with the purple gloves when he only ever used a gun with blue gloves? It's weird to me, because I don't have a life.
This is the Earth-2 (not that Earth-2, the good one) Batman before he found Robin and joined the JSA. Earth-2 Bats would considerably mellow once he got his Robin and become far more powerful as his stories became even weirder and wilder than the Mad Monk and Hugo Strange.
With a full dial of outwit and many ways to debuff characters with his utility belt, The Batman is a great secondary attacker especially if you outwit a damage reducer and take out the handgun, but he's pretty shrimpy in a ranged battle. He really could use someone to tie up figures for him while he shoots them--if only The Batman had a partner...
