Question about this guy's trait- is the word "other" in reference to him or the KO'd character? In other words, does he take damage from his trait if he activates it when a friendly character adjacent to him is KO'd?
"Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?"
annoying how he is a unique despite being a generic... i get maybe the rank factored in that but as a rule of thumb i feel like various/generic figures shouldn't be unique... if anything all named characters should be unique.
i also think he's 10 points too many... he and the Lieutenant @ 40 could have made an even 100. the legionnaire & subcommander are 50 each, and Charvanek is 100, while the centurions are 25 a piece... but you can't really play them all together as guy this puts you 10 points over. just frustrating and bad design. he and the Lieutenant could have been 35 & 65 respectively putting you at 100 for an even 400 point team had you played them all that way.
He's not the first generic piece to get the unique ring. That's usually given out to effects that would be disgusting stacked up together. I'd say that applies here, but the damage isn't even penetrating, and it requires death. I really don't think there's much here.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.
This guy's not a "generic". What is going on in this thread...? I get it, not everyone knows the source material, but... if you're going to talk about a figure... probably spend ten seconds on Google, okay?
This is a specific and extremely important character, the opposite number to Captain Kirk, played by Mark Lenard, Sarek's actor, in "Balance of Terror", the episode of Star Trek that literally introduced the Romulans. He's "Romulan Commander" because he was, smartly, never given a name in the episode, since that wouldn't serve the thematic purpose of his character.
The only reason why these sets gave the second unnamed Romulan commander in the show her name from the side material is because this guy was the first and got the name by seniority.
So, yes, this character is unique. There's no way he wouldn't be unique.
