I've been uncharacteristically laconic when posting dials, but this marks a fine shifting point. Holy crap, is John Arcudi’s “Fightbolts” run underrated. A combination of being the right content for the wrong title and being flat ahead of its time, if Axum’s story were released today as its own thing, it’d undoubtedly be a hit series. As it stands, it feels like one of Marvel’s Netflix shows…

Another Kind of Redemption: Axum does not break theme on Thunderbolts or Sinister Syndicate-themed teams, but he cannot use Themed Team Probability Control. The Reigning Champ: Every time Axum KOs an opposing character, heal him 2 clicks.
EDIT: Updated on 07/22/18 as per drchannard’s excellent suggestion!
Looks like Norman had Yelena in stasis, so he was aware from the start that Natasha joined under false pretenses.
Gotcha. Im actually reading through all the tbolts as we speak. I read most of dark reign, but I stayed away from tbolts because I knew I would want to know the history of them. Im currently in the middle of when hawkeye was leading them. Looking forward to seeing Norman's black ops group lol
Winning the game means little if it is not with the characters that I would want to win!

We're in the same boat! I started with the Ellis run and read most of the Parker Run, pre-Dark Avengers. Now I've doubled back to read the classic run and am on #38!
Norman's black ops team -Ellis & Diggle's runs- are REALLY good, although they're very different from their predecessors. I also think Fabian Nicieza's latter issues with Baron Zemo are VERY strong. Dude knows how to write Zemo, that's for sure.
I like that Headsman has very little concept of what’s happening in the world or even his place in Osborn’s hit squad. He’s got the unassuming villain thing down, where you could see grabbing a beer with him… if he didn’t murder people.

Just a Grunt: Headsman doesn’t take pushing damage if he’s adjacent to another friendly character. Decapitation! If Headsman rolls a critical hit against a character of equal points or less, K.O. that character.
Originally, Mister X was going to get a dial befitting a god of hand-to-hand combat… until I finished reading Mister X’s involvement on the Thunderbolts and I explored his wiki. Dude’s a great fighter, no question, but he’s got a ton of obvious limits, which I tried to represent here.

In Your Head...: Probability Control, but only when Mr. X is targeted with an attack. ...and Just as Good As You: Mister X’s combat stats are as high as the unmodified stats of an adjacent opposing character.
That is a pretty cool take on Mister X. I like that his stats are kinda low, so they key is to stack him up against melee fighters with better stats than him, which he will find very easily.
ASK ME ONCE I’LL ANSWER TWICE JUST WHAT I KNOW I’LL TELL BECAUSE I WANNA!
SOUND DEVICE AND LOTS OF ICE I'LL SPELL MY NAME OUT LOUD BECAUSE I WANNA!

My continued thanks, No-Name!
Amusingly, Mister X was also the rubric for point values in this set!
0-25: Average human/animal
25-50: Peak human combatant; token power
50-75: Mild superpowers
75-100: Moderate superpowers
100-150: Strong superpowers
150-250: Demigod-level
250-above: God-levels
I just couldn't justify making the guy a 75-100 point monster, given his "weaknesses."
Is Headsman's name really Cleavon Twain? His parents must have wanted him to end up like this.
I really like that you have a system for point values that makes sense. Mister X is perfect.
Haha looks like Headsman was a Busiek creation for Untold Tales of Spider-Man, which explains the tongue-in-cheek naming. Either way, think you're right; beheading was certainly a thing for him and his brother.
In a set about undercover villains, what better sub theme than undercover heroes? If you haven’t read Avengers Academy, Arena, and Undercover, you’re missing out. It’s an intense, Battle Royale-style narrative that blends X-Men and Suicide Squad in a character-driven format. Killer stuff.

Whot d’yiou mean “muy accent’s faike?!”: Super Strength. Objects used by Mr. Hyde deal +1 Damage. I’m th’ guv’nor now!: After using Charge, Mr. Hyde can instead make a ranged attack with an Object.
I don’t know who the hell this guy is and the internet wasn’t a huge help. I’m not even 100% sure I got the right pic for him.
So I just tried to make his dial awesome and not an obvious Iron Man clone.

Carpet-Bomb: POWER: Move Harrier up to his Speed value along a direct path. He may make ranged attacks on all opponents in range along that path for a locked 2 damage.
I didn’t know anything about Daken before reading Dark Avengers, and after reading it… I still don’t. Bendis isn’t wild about characterizing more than his favorite 2-3 characters per series.
For this dial, I read reactions to existing Daken dials and tried to make something that captured his pheromone abilities as well as his Wolverine-like qualities.
