Hey folks, I have been in an awkward situation lately where my lost password could not be retrieved due to internet connection issues (nevermind public spaces or work, as I had been trying to avoid logging in to anything at those locations).
Glad to see this is still rolling. And what a bad cash story it is!
Doc, thank you for regular maintenance. Please let me know if you ever need some backup as I realize that I have a whole bunch of creativity time (work part time at 80%) that is usually spent developping a manuscript that has since grown stale... My pivot is just not as exciting as I had initially imagined.
Hmm.. hard sell to offer to help with rp when mentionning stale pivots but I am sure you guys get it.
Going to work on this match tonight and give you guys results when we are done.
Well, I played all 5 rounds, and I was gonna funnel the survivors into a final battle...but the Changers won all 5 times! The entire time there was only 1 KO, whose identity I'll save for the write-up, 'cause I suspect they may be dead. I hope to get said write-up posted tomorrow.
Just noticed Firestorm made it to the FF! Very sweet! I cannot express how glad I am that inspiration for Firestorm hit multiple players. Sometimes, a character just makes sense.
Now, I don't want to be a pessimist, but I have a bad feeling for the Changers. I have been called things that all amount to SJW, but I will admit that as an idealist, the idea of people changing things for the better appeals to me. Especially when teaming up with a champion of DEATH!
I sometimes share with my students the importance of death in conceptualizing life. The Changers totally need Thanos to be reminded of the importance of their role and the finality of their univers.
"Its funny really, than again I've been finding a lot of things I've encountered funny." Spider-man said to himself while swinging through the city.
"Since being freed from Waller I've witnessed alien gods, orcs, a god and now a full blown alien invasion."
"Now I just need to see a starship explode on the belt of Orion and I'm all set."
Some would say Spider-man is inconsiderate at the lives lost in Star City but for him his humor is coping mechanism. As hard as tries he still thinks back to how SHIELD and Waller imprisoned him, cloned him, and robbed him of his life. How he failed to be there for his Aunt May and now with last his family gone he was all that was left. So why than is he still on this team he wonders?
His train of thought breaks off as witnessed Agent Grayson, Emma Frost and Lockjaw overrun by a Kree battalion. Instinctively, Spider-man dives down shooting webbing from both arms as they latch to the nearest building.
Faster and faster he descended further holding his webbing as they stretched further to the ground until finally. His makeshift slingshot torpedos him rapidly through the air locking on target towards Captain Marvel. With precise calculations (perplex) he puts all his momentum to his right fist landing a solid hit toward the Captain of the army.
Knocking the wind out of her, she prepares to retaliate only to see nothing as if he vanished.
“Man who knew espionage tactics from a former SHIELD agent would come in handy.” Spider-man thinks back to Richards intense training in hit and hide tactics. How rigorous his methods were for someone so overly positive compared to most secret agents.
“Y’know if you wanted to visit Earth so bad try our tour programs, great for the company, lousy for the traffic.” He throws his voice out as he distracts them.
Captain Marvel waves her arm sending her Kree Sentry to snuff him out.
Regretting his taunt he prepares to dodge, only to watch as his attacks head explodes from a piercing blast of solid light, carving the Sentry like butter.
He looks across to find Emma saving him.
“Hurry along darling, there’s much to save and many heads to crack.” Emma telepathic transmitted too his mind so casually. To this day Spider-man is still not used to that, than he remembers to play that cat commercial in loop to hide his opinions from Frost wrath.
The battle continues to stretch both sides despite the superior numbers of the invading hoard. Thanks in no large part (literally) than by the FF Hulk as he wades through towards enemy territory. Stephen Strange Of The Grey And Star girl provide covering fire to cutoff enemy reinforcement. As while Moon Knight ties up the enemy in a ruthless dance of Klingon combat giving Thanos, The God of death easy targets to Moon Knights dismay and irritation at the smug god.
The battle soon wanes as the Kree suffer major losses from the defeat of their Inhuman slaves and Klingon allies but not before taking out The Changers member Nightwing and Emma Frost and the Fantastoc Four bruiser Hulk, now with a smoking cauterized hole.
With two quick successive strikes, Spider-man KO the Inhuman elemental than web zips (side step) too deliver a well placed uppercut to The Accuser Ronan straight to the canvas.
“I think we can call that verdict overruled.” Spider-man continues to mock.
But there last opponent had no intention to go down as easily as he nicked Spider-mans leg. The creature laughed in pig noises at his small victory but soon finds himself squirming as Spider-man and Moon Knight destroy the aliens robot mech suit. The creatures eyes go blank as they breathe a sigh of relief.
“HUMANS.” There halt in place as they approach the talking creature in confusion.
“I have possessed this form to issue a warning, your planet was to be ruled and serve the great Kree empire.” The deep voice said in a cold calculating tone.
“But you have defied and bested our military, our weapons and our allies, for this transgression there is only death for your kind.”
“The Inhumans serve as a weapon not a soldier.” The Supremor corrected.
“I wasn’t referring to the Inhumans.”
“DAMN!!!” Spider-man echoed to Moon Knights burn.
But the conversation is cut short as a Thanos crushes the alien squid against his boot. He walks off towards Lockjaw awaiting the rest.
While Spider-man begins to cradle Emma Frost he hears her voice again inside his thoughts.
“Parker, I realize you find your situation difficult but know I am eternally grateful that you have stayed with us.” Emma said with less of a cold tone than usual.
“I’ve got no where else to go, no family to look out for except you guys, but here’s something that bugs me.”
“Your getting all these visions but what do you get out of this what’s your stake aside from giving us hints of another world?” Parker asked.
“When I peer into that world, I see the valor and bravery those that fight for justice endearing, especially you most of all.” Said Emma.
“Why me?” Parker seemed puzzled thinking she would refer to Stephen Strange.
“You gave up fame and fortune to honor your Uncles dying wish, continued to being a hero despite critics smearing your reputation towards your heroic deeds, I’ve watched your losses, gain friendship and finally love.”
“If I can somehow inspire those heroic deeds of old back to this hellhole of a world isn’t that worth dying for?”
“I’d say it’s worth striving for, Ms. Frost.”
“Please call me Emma and when we get back I could use your Aunts famous Wheat cakes.”

The dynamic duo Scarlet Witch and Vision, Mysterio
"I am Ronan the Accuser. By Klingon tradition, I must allow you all the chance to choose which among my ranks will be the death of you. To that end, I am to introduce-"
He was cut off by the sound of crunching metal, as one of the invaders' giant robots was turned into a pile pf parts.
"Hulk SMASH puny blue men!"
"So be it. Your chance is forfeit. Destroy them, my Inhumans!"
A green inhuman, labelled Daghtuj, transformed into a cheetah and lunged at Lockjaw. As the two snarled and snapped at each other, it was clear that Lockjaw was losing.
"Leave doggy alone!" came the cry as the Hulk smashed the ground, sending the cheetah through the air. Lockjaw took the chance to teleport away and tend to his wounds.
Daghtuj wasn't finished, however, and transformed once more into the king of the dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. As the wrestling match between green titans began, the Hulk could only smile, as he would prove he was the strongest there is.
Elsewhere, another giant lumbered toward Spider-Man and Stargirl. Once Kamala Khan, she was now given the title be'Hom'a'.
"So, wait a minute," said Stargirl. "You're telling me you've never seen Empire Strikes Back!?
"Government facility, remember?" replied Spidey as a blue catapult construct rescued him from a massive fist. "Seeing all the newest movies wasn't exactly a priority."
"That movie is really old, actually. Have you seen any Star Wars?"
"Attack of the Clones?"
"Oh, you poor thing. Point is, web her legs together."
"On it!" He swung into action, circling around the titanic teenager as he was directed until she got in a clean hit, sending him flying.
"Peter!"
He landed hard outside the conflict, but he had done his job. Courtney knew she needed to do hers.
"In fearful day, in raging night, with strong hearts full, our souls ignite!"
Her ring glowed intensely, shaping the light into a giant boxing glove.
"When all seems lost in the war we fight, look to the Stars, for hope burns bright!"
She got in the final blow on be'Hom'a', the webs tripping her up and knocking her to the ground. With their threat neutralized, Stargirl flew over to Spider-Man, on the verge of tears at what she might find.
"Peter? Peter! Say something!"
Finally, he groaned.
"I'm all right. Just a broken...well, everything, but I'll live."
She broke down and wrapped him up in a big hug. He winced, but wasn't going to argue.
She said, "After this is all over, you and I are watching A New Hope."
Startled, he said, "What, like, uh, you mean-"
"Yeah, a date."
"I, wait a sec, I mean, it's not like-"
He probably would've kept rambling like that, if he didn't find himself suddenly in the middle of a kiss.
From the rooftops, Moon Knight smiled beneath his mask.
"They're good for each other, you know."
"So, you have a heart after all," replied Nightwing.
After a pause, Marc said, "If he breaks her heart, I'll break his neck."
"And there's the Moon Knight I remember."
"So, what's our plan of attack?"
"See sparky over there? I'll take her head-on, and you cover me with those moonarangs."
"Moon Darts."
"Whatever."
With that, he jumped off the roof, landing near the electric Inhuman, 'ulmo'. Before she knew he was there, he had let out a flurry of blows which, combined with the Moon Darts, were enough to knock her out.
"Well done," came a voice. Another Inhuman stepped out from around a corner, flanked by Kree. "My turn. I am QommoH, previously Daisy Johnson. Though, I admit I've grown partial to another title. The Destroyer of Worlds."
“Captain Black, hows your control over the specimen?”
“It’s going great Director Waller, but it’s not control it’s called symbiosis and it doesn’t like being called specimen ma’am.” Black said politely as best he could.
“I’ll call that parasite whatever I damn please just as long as it’s under your control.”
“EAT HER FLASH!” A voice inside Flash’s thoughts screamed out.
“Shut up man that’s my boss.” Flash tries to whisper.
Waller looks back puzzled by Blacks behavior than quickly ignores it.
“For your first assignment with that.....symbiote you’ll be joined by other SHIELD agents at the ground zero site of Star City, to capture and detain an any surviving Alien left.”
“We believe those heroes that attacked us months back and the fight with The Brotherhood are there.”
“We need them brought down immediately before they become to much of a threat your task is the most crucial of all.”
“Who’s the poor soul?” Said Flash feeling confident in his ability.
“We need you to capture the Spider-man of their group and failing to do so eliminate him.” Amanda said coldly.
“Uh sure boss, but why exactly is he like a rogue clone of something?” Flash said curiously.
“Never mind the details, just know he’s a rogue agent that needs to be detained or put down, think you can do the play?” She said using Flash’s football terminology.
“You can count on Black ma’am.” Flash saluted.
“That’s what I like to hear now get ready we’re hitting them fast.” She walks off feeling smug and superior.
“SHES HIDING SOMETHING FLASH, WE SHOULD HAVE EATEN HER!!!!” The voice growled more menacingly in his mind.
“She’s my director she knows what she’s doing.”
“DON’T BE A JARHEAD FLASH, HER WORDS ARE LIES SHE’LL DO AWAY WITH BOTH OF US IF YOU DON’T GET THAT ROD OUT OF YOUR-
“Okay, okay I’ll try to keep an open mind but for now we’ll stick to the mission.”
Flash cutoff not wanting to hear more of his symbiote partners verbal abuse.
“THERES HOPE FOR YOU YET.”
Edit: I was in a Venom inspired writeup after the movie.
Can't wait to write Brock next.

Thanos looked out over the fight, tossing aside the latest Kree he had slaughtered.
"And here I thought you Kree had some fight in you. Perhaps I'll return-"
Suddenly, a figure flew down and landed in he middle of the fight.
"Never fear, citizens. For I, CAPTAIN HERO shall save you!"
"Captain...Hero," Thanos mused. "This, at least, proves to be interesting."
Captain Hero showed the same array of powers as the Kryptonian, casually dodging lasers and tossing Kree aside.
"Haha! Go back from whence you came, villains! Earth is under the protection of CAPTAIN-"
Captain Hero's monologue was interrupted by a blow from Ronan the Accuser, doing enough damage to drop the Captain's disguise, revealing the green skin of a Skrull.
(gg022 Xavin (Super-Skrull/Captain Hero) - 75)
Nearby, a t-rex crashed into a nearby building, extinct once more.
"Who else fight Hulk?" he said, getting his answer in the form of a trident through the gut. Holding the trident was an Inhuman labelled ghotI', who quickly found himself smacked aside by a giant green fist, landing next to Lockjaw. As ghotI' picked himself up, prepared to die fighting, he felt a tug on his leg. He turned to eliminate the obstacle, but found himself unable to kill Lockjaw, almost as if he was family.
"Good doggy", said Hulk as he smashed ghotI' into the ground.
As Stephen Strange's lightning brought the fight near its end, everyone felt the ground shake, followed by a cry of anguish. Everyone looked to see Moon Knight standing over the defeated form of QommoH.
"I wasn't quick enough. I-I..."
QommoH had already collapsed the chest of Nightwing, claiming his life.
Who won? The Changers, overwhelmingly Who is KO'd? Only Nightwing, Quaked by Quake just one turn before she was KO'd by a critical hit from Moon Knight Why are the Klingons with the Kree? I think they shouldn't be allied, so much as the Klingons are superhuman arms dealers, like the Kree were in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Special Question: It's tough picking one character, but I'm itching to see the return of Frank Castle (...sort of). As for teams to side with the Kree, I think Latveria would be on board. World domination and another shot at the Changers.
gabluey05, I know you weren't around early early on with HRS, but I have to tell you I am absolutely dying that you have Peter and Courtney planning a date in your write-up--I totally tried to put them together as a thing in my own write-ups back in the very first story arc of HRS 1.0, so I'm already a fan of the idea. It's been at the back of my mind ever since Stargirl won the lottery to become Blue Lantern in HRS 2.0 and then we overwhelmingly ended up with Peter as the original Spider-Man here too.
Everyone--posting the new story at or around midnight tonight, so there's still time to get your write-ups in. I can't wait to reveal the next story arc's title.
So we didn't get to finish our game in time - it's still ongoing. The Kree were in the lead, having just KOed the Hulk (who smashed pretty good damage and spread it around), but Thane had been KOed along with a Klingon Commander, and Captain Marvel was on his last click and the SI had been hit hard, but the Changers had hit a really rough rolling patch (needing a 4 and rolling a 3). Changers had a pretty good shot, and we'll see what happens when we actually get to finish it.
We finally finished this game. The Changers won! Hulk drew all the focus at first, allowing the rest of the Changers to set up and go to town - Emma Frost went full diamond and wrecked house too on the Supreme Intelligence and more, but went out ignominiously on a crit miss. Resurrection Man was hit by Yon-Rogg's Psyche-Magnetron, but it wasn't enough to make a difference. Kree Sentry 459 went out with a Pulse Wave but not enough to KO anyone. They were wounded, but they made it!
