It's also worth noting that of the Outwit in the Uncommons, only 2 1/3 of them have it top dial: Spider-Man, Ultimate Thor, and Alex Wilder if your opponent lets him have it. A lot of figures have 5 health, and pushing that 1 click makes them very vulnerable to the many, many, many 4 damage figures in this set. Heck, when you scale up, the pickings for Outwit become worse. 1872 Iron Man has to push off his excellent top dial click, Iron Goblin's Outwit is unreliable, Thanos has better things to be doing than outwitting people (like murdering the entire damn set), Destroyer Thor Prime's is a last resort, and Black Panther's Outwit is also on his worst click to use. None of these figures are reliable Outwit figures. That honor belongs to Spidey, Ultimate Thor, and the one super lucky guy who plays Odin at 120.
Maestro at full is the whole reason I went undefeated in my areas Sealed last night. The traited SE really puts an emphasis on how agressively you should play him. After turn two i stopped using the traited leadership also.
2013 AD: My past self is on the couch when I step out of my time machine and tell him "there's going to be a 70 point Spider-Man with Charge, Quake, Leadership and Outwit, can self-perplex to a 12 attack and he's not even the best arachnid in the set. People are only mildly impressed with him. So you know, uh, don't spend too much trying to collect those ASM chases."
I really like the Uncommons, I think I'll be looking for my primary attacker from this group rather than the Rares. Just a shame that I'll be donating Black Widow, Boar Thor, Erik and Karolina to the new guy pile immediately after the tournament. Doesn't it feel like Black Widow has been getting the "Elektra treatment" from WK lately? Just appearing in set after set with little change?

I guess nobody you went against pulled Witch Hunter Angela then. Stupid Sexy Angela ruining my monster team.
Karolina feels like she's going to put in work for Runaways teams in Constructed, but I agree she's dicey in Sealed.
Killmonger did work for me in Sealed game one--if you remember to roll his anti-leadership And hold your opponent to it, he's deadly. The Stealth and the competent offenses can keep your opponent from coming after him despite the action denial and the pushed-to Outwit.
Inventor Tony was a big disappointment for me, though. I pulled him and his suit, and couldn't resist playing him at 50 points, which was a mistake--maybe it'll be better in Constructed, but in Sealed it was just too many free points to offer to an opponent (50 if he's K.O.'d Before armoring up, *80* after).
Oops, I (and others) played SHe-Hulk wrong as if she could attack with that 4 damage.
Widow: I think the 2-shield rating is right, but I ended up with her (on a sealed The Valley theme team) and she outperformed. She stayed in stealth and sniped a little, or tied up and either made the Shape Change roll or got knocked to poison. So two shields is about right, but she can work with a little finesse.

Update: It's come to my attention UC Spider-man actually has an 18 defense on his first two clicks, not 17. I already gave him a 4 so it's not like I can bump his rating, but he is slightly better than presented here and in the evidence thread.
You both rated UC Iron Man highly, but I have to say he works even better in practice than on paper(if played right). The poison and outwit can punish opponents who try to base him, and with his plasticity, unless they also have it his running short breakaway is almost guaranteed. He almost single handedly made a comeback against Ultimate Thor and Destroyer Thor A, but once they finally hit you off those top 3 clicks he is in trouble.
Uc Iron Man was good to play. But I think I like Ultimate Thor better for sealed. Ultimate Thor is still a bad boy after taking a hit.
Maestro is truly a scary piece to fight against especially when he has TK. My Ultimate Thor got pretty lucky to survive against Maestro once Maestro came up with his entire team.

i would probably want to pull him in sealed a little more. Much as I like Ultimate Thor, the fact he starts with sidestep at top dial and likely loses outwit after a hit allowed him to just get taken apart for me the one game I got to try him, though the same happened to Iron Man that day. I happened to pull Iron Man again a different day and he did well. Him, Iron Goblin at 100, and C Captain America are a formidable sealed team, even better if you actually remember that they are an Avengers theme team, lol.

Both Iron Man and Ultimate Thor did well for me. Granted with Ultimate Thor, I did have TK with him through common Iron Man. But Thor along with his Outwit was able to one shot more figures than Iron Man. Iron Man’s issue for me was that he was facing a lot of figures that love to close the distance and despite his trait for close combat (poison and plasticity), he wasn’t a huge threat after he took a hit. Ultimate Thor faced the same figures who could close the distance and force a close combat game, but Thor was always a big threat especially when he was doing free attacks off his trait.
I just feel like Thor’s top dial Outwit combined with 4 damage Goes further in knocking out figures combined with his staying power.

Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die: Spider-Man starts the game with 2 stasis tokens. As long as Spider-Man has a stasis token he has immobile and can't make attacks. At the end of your turn, remove a stasis token from Spider-Man. Baron Of Battleworld: Leadership, Perplex. When Spider-Man uses perplex to target another character, you may instead modify a combat value except damage by +2 if the target shares a battleworld keyword or -2 if it has a different battleworld keyword. SF: Off to a slow start, Sleepy Spidey nonetheless offers a lot. Outwit is a scarce ability in this set (though this is the rarity slot to find it), and giving up your first 2 turns is really just 1 move and 1 clear anyway). What's drastically absent here is any sort of Improved Movement (though it should be noted, these dials may have minor errors as they're taken from videos in most cases- and I certainly hope Pete's missing IM is one of them). If you can't find another source, Spidey's Outwit isn't tied to a bad dial.
JR: I'm gonna confess I was very let down when this dial got revealed. You start a Spider-Man reveal with a lofty sounding trait about "Heroes" and "Legends" and I start salivating pretty good thinking about a definitive Spider-man, a real powerhouse with untouchable defenses. 018 Spider-man is not that. At all. He is, however, a spectacular support piece for one of the more common Battleworld keywords. Leadership, (enhanced) Perplex, and Outwit is simply too good to pass up no matter what my feelings about what the dial could have been.

Targeting: Ignores Hindering Homo Arachnus: Plasticity, Poison. Armor and Carapace: When Iron Man is the target of a range attack, modify his defense by +1 for each action token he has. SF: An incredible 13 square swing begins the work of justifying what, in this set, ranks as a high point dial. 115 isn't a HUGE investment, but it's not insubstantial either- and while the first half of the dial certainly looks the part, the latter half is pretty soft. Iron Man can push into Outwit if necessary, but I wouldn't recommend it.
JR: Stark Industries bias confirmed. 10 attack doesn't impress on a figure this expensive. While I like the Homo Arachnus trait, Iron Man is probably the Spider-Island piece with the least synergy with it. He wants desperately to stay on the other end of his long range, cause if a similarly costed bruiser charges up and cracks his shell he is left largely helpless up close. He's good, but Iron Man by himself is no 4 star figure. Iron Man plus 018 Spider-man may be a 4 star combo though
Ok so at the sealed event last night I pulled "junk" (i.e. Elektra and Chase Stein were my two "good" Rares in my boosters). But I did end up pulling this Iron Man and not one, but TWO Uncommon Spider-Mans. I stand by me earlier claim that Spider-Man doesn't play like Spider-Man. But this combo was indeed very good. They mostly boosted Iron Man's attack, and lowered the stats of other Battleworld characters. And of course Outwitted beasticks into near-uslessness. So much so that they became the main targets, not Iron Man. Which was good because that allowed him to zip around and Psy-Blast all game.
At one point Iron Man crit-missed (of course) onto Outwit, while a Spider-Queen was in my face. I was like "Uhhh, ok I'll take away Spider-Queen's Poison, Pulse Wave, and Perplex. You're go." That 200 point figure was not that threatening at that point.
Completely agree about Iron Man staying at range. Did not make much use of his Poison. Didn't make use of his defense boost either, having faced figures like Worldbreaker, Spider-Hulk, Maestro, etc.
In the end, I'll take a 2-1 second place finish (lost to Thanos) with this team.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.

lost to Thanos? That sounds like my life with infinity and battleworld. if earth X has a thanos and I lose to it I will lose my sanity

Yeah but I did take out his Destroyer Thor, and get Thanos down to mid-dial. Gotta take some small victories when I can. Plus second place still netted me the She-Hulk LE.
