this is a new project compiled by our community of -heroclix chile- we gather ideas an convey to this map shown below, "el laberinto del dragón" (The dragon's maze).
there are special rules for this one: the red mineral terrain gives the player a perplex token only for attack values, one this terrain has been occupied by a figure, becomes hindering terrain
the green mineral gives the player a perplex token only for defense values, one this terrain has been occupied by a figure, becomes hindering terrain.
the center battlefield has 4 entrances, the player that arrives first, can put a door token in one of the entrances, this entrance token becomes a unamovible object, indestructible.
I like it, but I'm not sure how balanced the layout is. The player in the bottom left corner has a decided advantage with an easy beeline to the center of the map, while other players require a good amount of additional movement to do so.
Again, I love the concept, but I can't help feeling like that start zone is a solid advantage.

(Special) Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement.
(Speed) Teleportation Evacuation: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth and the Carry Ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.
(Defense) BAMF!: Nightcrawler can use Super Senses. Whenever he uses Super Senses to evade an attack, you may immediately move him up to half of his speed value.

arrive first at the center battlefield "could" be an advantage but you can form a different strategy collecting perplex tokens around the aisles or destroying walls.
if its not -maybe- "fair" make your own fairness through strategy!

that's the purpose of the game!
I see your point, it's just odd to have one corner of four markedly different than the other three. Doubly so because of the impact it could have on a game.
I've got no problem with adjusting tactics on the fly, you're absolutely right that this is a critical fun part of the game.
