I'm the short, skinny, dark-haired judge with glasses at Empire Gaming in Forest City, NC. As a venue, we're small, with attendance fluctuating a touch based on big OP events or small regular events (all on Saturdays at 1 p.m.), but we usually have a good core group of easy-going, 4-6 players who like a side of occasional competition. Scenarios for each Saturday's game get posted on the shop's Facebook listing and on a whiteboard in the store. Good stuff so far!
Positive attention to the game happened at a store in my town and the owner is on board! More people coming to play means product and events!! Right in downtown Franklin IN, (not to far from I-65 also) by the courthouse. Will start sometime after 3PM
Saturdays!

Friendly City Games in Lebanon, Indiana is again running events at 1pm Saturday.
They had a huge crowd, but when the Judge just stopped showing, people stopped showing.
I am currently the Judge and am trying to build back the player base. The owner never stopped ordering prize support despite having no one to organize events so if you show up you get a prize. And we have two special events coming up. One in March where you can win a Quinjet and one in April where you can win a full set of the Civil War Grand Prizes.
I probably would have volunteered sooner, but according to the owner he had 4 different people say they would run HeroClix, but none of them did anything to start events.
I just want to advertise weekly Heroclix Tournaments, hosted at L.A. Mood Comics in London, Ontario, every Thursday around 630 pm (1830).
Events range from modern age 300 points, modern 300-500pts and golden tournaments. Prizes are standard OP kits, with first and fellowship.
Sometimes additional prizes.
Free to play and everyone is welcome.
Friendly players, that range in age, experience and play styles.
I will post each month's event schedule, as they are developed.
Look for further details on facebook, via London Legion Heroclix Group.

If your looking for a venue in central Illinois, The Endzone in Mattoon is great. The owner is super nice and always willing to given discounts on pre-orders. Keeps the venue family friendly, so I am always comfortable taking my little ones. The play group is small, which probably works in the venues favor as all of the guys are fun players, who enjoy the game. The only concern is you are going to want to connect with their Facebook page as the judge regularly has to reschedule events; I would estimate 1 out of 6 events get postponed or rescheduled. They also only play 2 Friday’s a month, which makes rescheduling possible. Still, scheduling issues or not, The Endzone in Mattoon is well worth checking out.
second richmond comix in Richmond VA as a great venue to play at - make sure to look up the venue on wizkids for rules for weekly event as its usually scenario based with most scenarios being golden age - free to play with great prize support - games usually played at 12.00 pm on saturdays
Time Capsule in Hopewell VA - same recommendation as above - games usually played at 6 pm saturdays - can easily hit richmond comix and Time capsule in one day as the venues are only about 30 minutes away from each other
DZ Comics - Moore Oklahoma - 5 buck entry with plenty of prize support - same recommendation as above but its mainly modern play
Dice Addiction - Tulsa Oklahoma - 5 buck entry with plenty of prize support and boosters opened- only been here once but was a good time - bring extra cash as they ran a sealed after the announced event i was at and that seemed to be a common occurrence for them - fridays at 7 pm - only venue i know that still sells singles
High Gear Hobby in Taylorsville, UT (just outside of SLC) was my venue for the past 8 months I spent at college and it's a fantastic place (granted, I've never played at another venue, but other venues must be FANTASTIC if High Gear isn't good compared to them).
They have tournaments that usually involve pretty creative scenarios every Tuesday.
"Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?"
I want to give a shout-out to a venue near Philly, and thought this would be the best place to do it. A big thank-you to the guys at The Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia, PA. I was in town on business, and saw an event scheduled there, so I popped in. These guys were super-welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Thanks to dasaul29, Marvelous, Verbaltag, Paljune, Saul56, and Cam. Great group of guys, fun event, and cool little shop too! If ever in the Philly area, I recommend dropping in there.
For myself here in Northwest Indiana. There are two very good venues. The main one I play at is Galactic Gregs located in Valparaiso. Tourneys are Saturdays at Noon. The other is Heroes Haven in Michigan City and they run theirs on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm. Their both roughly 90 minute drive to or from downtown Chicago depending on traffic.
I give a five star to both venues, but consider Galactic Gregs the best one since games are played on the weekends. Heroes Haven late start makes is rough for those that work the midnight or day shift you could be there till 10:30 before everything is over.
Both places are casual run games with highlander rules normally and they vary between 4 to 10 players at most events.
The final place I will give a 5 star rating to is Chicago Dojo located in North Chicago up near the lake. Since its about a 2 hour drive for me one way so I don't go often. I've played there for multiple Wizkids Opens over the last 4 years and they are great with lots of run on the main floor and in the basement.
