I would have written a report but if you've played the deck you'd understand why I didn't.
Game 1 - Felix
I was speaking to felix about vs and stuff, as we do. Then he says his choice of deck was finally swung with the fact that he knew I was playing Black bolt and 2 other people were.
He plays SO much weenie hate my eyes start to bleed. Bullseye, Punisher and multiple Black Widows combined with Total anarchy make my cry.
0-1
Game 2 - sidmed22

0-2
Game 3 - Amitverse
Amit is one of the coolest players I have ever met, and would travel to the ends of the earth to play the game.
Amit is playing outsiders and the mass team attacks are almost redundant against my weenies, and Blabk Bolt got 3/4 attacks on turn 6 or 7.
1-2
Game 4 - Cosmo (Coolest name ever?)
He is playing SHIELD burn.
We are exchanging damage and board reduction, until he plays omega red. What the hell?
A ten character team attack against him hurts. A LOT.
I crush him into the minus's. I do some math and realize that he will win with a hidden wolverine. Dr. Polaris comes to the rescue and saves me the game, pretty much.
He does have me on the edge of my seat all through the game.
2-2
Game 5 - Dave Hancock
Revenge squad sucks.
I get BB and Quantum Bands on 2,3,4, and he repeatedly total anarchies him...Until turn 5, when I have BB...but no quantum bands.
2-3.
As far as I gather all the black bolts went 2-3. Not amazing, but outside of silver it isn't as good as it would ever be.
Black Bolt in silver - Awesome
Black Bolt in clone - Awesome
Black Bolt in Modern - Meh...
Hey, um not to thread-jack but does anyone have a link/blog/thread report of what happened at the Manchester event?
We have some report on our site VSitalia.com but you know... they are written in Italian. :P
I was very surprised when in the third turn the opponentin front of me flip SHRA and start to recuit lot of characters (well before I HAB his SHRA)... We know the deck here in italy, and usually call him MrOne (The 1 drop character is actually not black bolt, but a skrull so it seems stupid to me call the deck blak bolt :P ).
with the release of the new set upon us i think this deck will work well in modern, lots of tasty 1 drs to give draw and negate effects...cant wait to get my built up with new set :P
this is to lord of limbo. has anyone tried making it for modern? like i built this deck a while ago but i didnt have fun with it(i saw they wanted you to make it but wasent to captured by the potentional of the deck)
Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like a (kind of) fun time. Man lordoflimbo people must have really been worried about your deck if they were packing so many situational cards. Maybe next time you should claim beforehand that you are running shadowpact or something?
Also from my looks in manchester, the meta is very toolboxy/weenie-hate but most prominent of all is stall. I saw so many stall decks there, it blew my mind.
manchester was crazy for the ammount of decks what where wennie hate lol, i played the deck as well as limbo and i must say /handsup to amit was one of the best decks if seen for team attack abuse /cheer good sir
on the half of the doom deck U SIR ARE EVIL!!!!!! clearing the board then slapping me in the face with 3 dooms and jean grey! EVIL!!!!!!!!
neva got to play any of the italians/greeks ( sorry not sure where ur from :P) would of liked to tho hye may be next time.
press the attack is golden age! maybe an asewone card in it
Quicksilver cost 0 its too heavy in the next turn you recruit it. You must pay 3 resource points and it's so much to this deck.
