My "boss" was apparently notorious for releasing as many people from the office as possible before bonus time and I guess it was my time. I worked my butt off (70+ hour weeks were not uncommon) for the company and actually saved them a lot of money handling the IT issues on top of my normal duties. The kicker: he was going to leave a message on my home phone while in the hospital with my wife. The bookkeeper actually came to the hospital to tell me in person because she felt his methods were bull. I felt worse for her because she was crying when she told me. I told her what I tell you, keep your chin up and keep moving.
Wow. That Guy just "topped" a former landlord of mine. When my first wife and I lived in an apartment over his law office, we returned from our honeymoon to find a note from him that been slipped under the door, informing us of a rent increase.
Some "wedding gift" --- but not nearly as nice as that "baby gift" you received.

That's the way I've come to view it: it takes time, but you learn to do with less and appreciate more what you still have --- whether it's material stuff or friendships (I firmly believe in the words of a newspaperman named Walter Winchell: "A friend is one who walks in when others walk out.").
In a way, when I lost my job, I think I went through the Kubler-Ross stages of grief. But if so, it's merely a process. I'm in a place now where I guess I feel that I've had the benefit of addition by subtraction; every person I spend time with now is someone who matters.
Yup, it takes time, but it does work out.
Thanks for sharing.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
This is what I keep telling Dngergrrl too. She has a bachelors degree from a GOOD school, and she was working at Wal-Mart as a cashier supervisor making a little more than $10 an hour. When she lost her job, I knew it would be the thing that is going to propel her into the thing that she is eventually going to do "For a Living."

It also sort of depends on what the degree is in. Granted just because you have a degree in something doesn't mean that is what you are going to do or need to do.
I don't know anything about Cobra but Mr Hyde is on the T-Bolts B-team and he seems to be basically a weaker version of the Hulk :-/
Okay, I don't know the first thing about either of these characters, but apparently that doesn't matter since one of them is NAMED IN A POWER on the other's card and they don't share a keyword.
Now, maybe WK thinks that the particular power is SO powerful that giving them a Keyword makes it too powerful, but, as someone who loves making Theme Teams, (and NOT because it actually gives me an advantage or anything) this just doesn't sit well with me.

Mr. Hyde is your basic bruiser who is mentally unstable when he is in his Hyde form. His regular form (Calvin Zabo) is a scientist who I believe was working on a new version of the Super Soldier serum and ended up with an addictive substance that makes him transform into the brutish Mr. Hyde. It's very similar to the Jeckyl/Hyde story. His friend and often times crime partner Cobra is one of the only people whom Hyde trusts or will listen to. They have been a duo for a LONG time. Cobra was bitten by a radioactive cobra...sounds familiar....
I am extremely thankful that Wizkids didn't make them a duo since I'm going to want to play them on different teams. It sucks that they don't share ANY keywords, but it's not like it's inaccurate.

I guess I just see it as if they were made as a Duo Figure as the power says they sort of are...how would the keywords fit? LOL Sort of like if Nick Fury didn't have the Shield keyword
