I'm not sure what to think about the "welcome to lancaster" sign in that video. Since I don't live too far from there. Maybe that's why I never found any TRU exclusives.

Ah, time for a little gaming trivia.
What game that involves cards and dice is based in Lancaster, Pa?
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
Soxolas: Is that something (I forget the modifier) Baseball?
Back in from Day Two (and, for me, the final one) of the con. I enjoyed some of the company, and Friday night over at the Field House. Wizard continues to make matters more difficult, though in whatever way they can. The smaller area this time played against us, and the layout -- placing many of the celebrities and photo opportunities on the leading edge of the convention floor made for some awful gridlock. Add to that the huge number of people who showed up for Saturday and this afternoon it looked as if we were trying to set a record for squeezing people into a space. I'm a little over 6'2" so I'm at least keeping my head up in the air; it had to be claustrophobic for all of the wee people.
Well, a bunch of people still responded to the last list, so here's another one:
Stuff you like and most people dislike and you really can't defend:
- Congo - This is what inspired the list in the first place. I LIKE this movie. I just watched it again while folding laundry and I think I like it more every time I see it.
It's a fun movie that keeps a fun pace. I wish it didn't fall apart quite so much at the end, but I don't believe I've ever come across it while changing channels that I didn't keep it on.

Exactly the same.

I don't know Kayo (never heard of that brand) but as far as Yoohoo goes, again, it's the same here. In fact, while making a late supply run Thursday night I came very close to picking up a 12-pack of this to put in the refrigerator overnight so half could go in my pack as part of the convention supplies. Sheer thriftiness on my part (they wanted well over $4 for the 12-pack of Yoohoo, with the A&W Root Beer was just within my fiscal comfort zone for such a thing at $2.99.

I come across a dozen joke references to him for every one time I see him, and don't believe I've ever heard him sing - I don't stick around for such things. His stock rose considerably for me as a person, though, when upon meeting John Waters when they were both about to appear on the Graham Norton Show B told W that his mustache "rocks."

I liked both Conan movies, and this one is more fun than the first one.

Comics movies, good and bad, was one of the topics of conversation Friday night, and AZS brought this one up. We seemed to be in agreement that we liked the Lundgren movie in some ways, but it was really it's own movie with Punisher trappings. The newest Punisher movie was really the only one that really came across as that, though much depends upon how one feels about the Garth Ennis approach to Frank Castle.
Actually I should revise my not too far statement about lancaster. By that standard it explains the whole neckbeard epidemic for the northeast of the US. Then again PA is probably responsible for that anyhow.
Atypically, Nick's working tomorrow afternoon and no showing of Green Lantern will be early enough for us to see it before his shift, so we may end up seeing it tomorrow night instead of the originally-planned afternoon.
