I had a tremendously bad weekend, and I wound up getting only one Kuurth cover from the PVE (blue). The PVP progression was blue, and my Sim one was blue, too.
Fortunately the PVP progression will be red, but I'll end up with a 0/1/3.

Sorry to hear about your weekend. I hope things are better than they were.
I had similar-ish times and also managed only T100 for a single Kuggs.

You gotta love when the random heroic token from a SHIELD interrupt gives you a Dazzler with a bonus Mysterio. My Mysterio is up to 4/1/3 now, so I have hope that he'll be up to 10+ by the time he's needed for a SHIELD Training.
The weird thing is that I finished the Mysterio release with him at 0/1/3, so I've gotten 4 covers since then, all purple.

I'm at 5 covers right now, with 1 in the SHIELD Simulator. If I can score 3 covers from the latest PVE, I'd be set (with the 10th cover coming from the next event's progression).
I have never placed that high in an event. I'm thinking that my best strategy is to give up on progression and target a late entry with a good flip. Has anyone pulled that off successfully?

If you can place for 2 covers in IP, then the next prog would get you to 10.
There are rumors that the next character could be a 5*, not a 4*... so who knows how it will play out for Mysterio.

I have never gotten ballsy enough to try it in PVE because there are too many goodies to pass up in daily subs and progression, but I have lucked into a good finish in PVP.
In the first PVP where Ronin was the placement prize, I ended up jumping in with like an hour left or something and began in 5th place and then took 1st.

I haven't touched the PVP Simulator next, so I didn't know he was the progression there.
In any case, I don't think I even need the 2 covers in IP.
Mysterio covers on the table:
IP placement (T50) = 1 purple
Sim Progression (2K points) = 1 purple
PVE after IP progression = 1 yellow
That should get me to 5/1/4 plus a saved.

WTH?!?!? That kind of crap is going to push me right out of this game.
When the * level release pattern was 4-4-5-4-4-5, I was progressing nicely. Under that release pattern I was able to keep up with the releases and even make a little progress towards completing my 5* roster.
By that I mean that when the LL rotations would happen I could invest LTs and CP to bring the oldest LL up to 13 covers. Then I would have enough breathing room between 5* releases (6 weeks) to replenish my assets for the next rotation. And I was enough ahead that spending 250 CP on an occasional 5* cover in the store was not a detriment.
Then they switched to the 4-4-5-4-5 pattern...knocking two weeks away from the replenishment every other 5* release. I was thinking that this only made it so that I could keep up with releases, but that I wouldn't have the extra stuff to splurge the 250 CP here and there on the 5* direct buy. It turns out, as evidenced by the fact that I could not complete Hela, that the new release rate doesn't even allow me to keep up with the releases.
Now if they seriously switch to a 4-5-4-5 release pattern, there is certainly no way that I will be keeping up.
If I'm not keeping up, then I'm obviously falling behind. If I fall behind like that, then I will simply have no motivation to keep playing. If they are going to make it so that I cannot reach the end goal, then why should I bother even trying?
Moving the goal posts is a pretty crappy thing to do.
New Engine Update is live for Android. Very smooth motion on the menus. I have to decide when to jump into IP, but might try soon to see what happens and how things play out.
EDIT: GAME IS FASTER. Wow.

I don't particular care for it, actually. I don't know if anyone will know what I mean when I say this, but it reminds me of the pan and scan version of Ghostbusters on VHS. If you've seen it, then you will know what I'm talking about.
Rather than simply cutting off the sides of the widescreen and enlarging the remainder to fit a 3:4 aspect ratio, resulting in only seeing the "center" of the action, they would move what is displayed back and forth on the screen to have it showing whoever was "active" on screen. It was done in such a way that it was a nauseating, jerky panning back and forth.
That artificial motion is what I'm seeing on my device, and it seems really unpleasant to me so far.
EDIT: And it just decided to reopen the Update page on me in the middle of a PVP match, and restarted the darn game, giving me a loss in the Hulk PVP, which I'm finding to be a huge health pack suck.
EDIT: Make that twice it has done this. This update sucks. (BTW, it should not be a hardware issue. The phone is pretty good, and it isn't that the program is crashing, per se. It is loading the Play Store updates screen for no reason, and then making the game reboot.)
EDIT: Three times now. It really seems like they are trying their best to get me to drop this game.

I do know what you mean about the smooth-motion. Reminds me more of when your parents turn on that feature (or it's on in the Best Buy or whatever) and things looks Soap Opera smooth, rather than "normal" to the eye. I'm comfortable adapting to it in this context though.
As for the glitches... that really stinks. I'm still waiting to start PvP and curious how many events I'll end up skipping this season while I wait. Might be up to 3 depending on how fast things fill over the next day which I think it the most I've skipped waiting for a fresh season.
On that note, I was thinking about what I enjoy in the game and why skipping the PvP events for a fresh bracket and then hopefully placing higher in the later bracket gives me more enjoyment than slugging through to get the 25CP from each event and then placing a bunch lower in the season.
This is also why I will never ditch the alliance until I'm ready to drop the game. Keeping it casual is crucial.

I want to know your thought process on how this works please cause I don't quite get it.

Yeah, if they don't fix this game quickly, I'm going to have to call it quits.
I finally have found a squad working well in the Hulk PVP, but I cannot do anything with it. On the off chance I actually finish a match, I'll get two that crash. Right now I am on a streak of four crashes. My points are plummeting. I was hoping for maybe getting the 4* via wins, but even that seems unlikely.
