Though a lot of players are still blurring together a bit, I agree with JoH regarding Roy. His name sticks out as one I've had some positive vibes about so far.
I also like that adamical was just able to substantiate his previously-stated reads when prompted. I obviously can't comment on any meta reads that anyone's going to have in this game, but it's a good look that he was able to answer the questions without trouble.
The Darkstone is the player I'd most like to investigate from adam's list. That post he highlighted above is all I remember from him so far and it does nothing for me, gameplay-wise.
I realize I have not voted yet. I forget what the tally looks like right now, but I feel pretty decent about voting for Destructo right now, at least until he responds to some of the things that have been said about him. vote Destructoboy
Also, as I said earlier, I do not wish to dictate how anyone here is playing. I am an outsider here and I don't wish to impose anything on anyone, but I think it would be extremely beneficial to the townies (in this game and in future games that this applies to) if everyone drops the "majority voting" mindset. I can fully sympathize with the difficulties of adjusting to a new game mechanic, but we are not playing by those rules, and voting works differently here.
With plurality voting we are all free to toss our votes around wherever and whenever we want. As someone who's played with this voting system for my entire mafia-life, I encourage everyone to toss your votes around any time you suspect somebody. You can always change it later, and there's no risk of an accidental majority being reached too soon. If someone does something suspicious, do not hesitate to put a vote on them, even if no one else has. This is the most effective way to call attention to your suspicions and get the ball rolling on a discussion of these things. The only people who should fear discussion about suspicions are the mafia members.
I'm a fan of letting fake vig claims work themselves out. I'm curious if Silver is satisfied by the vig claim. Seeing as he's out for the night,
change vote darkstone
But that's exactly what you'd say if you and a Grinner were scumbuddies.
Speling is defikult four mi, sumetimes.
Reasonably cool with your explanations.
Feel bad voting for DB but suspect him most at this point. I like my newish "hold vote until the end unless trying to sway a race" better than my old "use vote as a loaded gun to demand answers" style. Feel weird just tossing a pressure vote out there. Evidence suggests I still view my vote as a loaded gun. I just have better trigger discipline.
Vote Darkstone to get his attention.
Who do you suspect most, Darkstone? Least? Are you mafia? What are your thoughts on how you as a town player (assuming you are or are at least pretending to be town) should respond to this change in game mechanic?

I want to hear more from Roy and Destructoboy before I decide if we should lynch Destructoboy.
I voted for Darkstone to, as you say, get his attention. Hopefully he'll stop by before the phase ends. I like Silver as town. No I'm not mafia.
I played gfish's Netflix marvel game pretty much as I'm used to playing, even though it was plurality instead of majority. That one ended up as a bit of a town curb stomp so so far I'm not sure the change in game mechanics requires a drastically different strategy. That said, a different strategy may be fun and potentially better. I wouldn't normally throw a vote on an absent player when there are two info-based lynch possibilities already in play, so consider that my response to plurality voting.

While it's nice to say that, the reality is when you've been playing one way for nearly a decade it isn't as easy as "drop the mindset."
Sloonei an Jack were curious about my impressions. My impression of Quebbs is pure meta; he's usually louder as town and quieter as scum, and I thought he was on the quiet side day one.
That tell does get annoying. I try to be chatty as scum too, but it's usually harder.
I've been quiet here mostly because of RL issues limiting my computer time though. It's a lot easier to be chatty when you can check in several times during the day instead of just once or twice.

1. I have no real suspects for town or mafia. Though I am curious to see how Sloonei's non HCR-mafia thinking would apply to our games here.
2. I'll do what I always do. Muddle along.
3. I am town, and I know 100% that none of you have any information to the contrary.

Well, sorry for sleeping and going to a tournament! I'll be sure next time to never leave my computer!
Sorry. I get sassy sometimes. You'll see that a lot as games continue...

I targeted Grinner, because messing with your Dad is hilarious!

Do you see how both dead guys are the same role? And how everyone else is (so far seemingly truthfully) saying the same thing? That's not terribly common.
Please don't lynch me. Not being in a game is boring!
I've been trying for the last half-hour to find a clip from the Invader Zim Christmas special of him dancing around saying, "I am Santa, I am Santa" for my claim, but I can't find one
But I am. Santa, that is.
So, I'm guessing power cop? Because TSP and Iggy weren't on the Naughty list.
What is your power and who did you target last night, if anyone?
I'm alleging I have you dead to rights and I would like for you to out all your info before I out mine so it's less easy for you to try wiggle out.

Duly noted. It's still over a day left to the end of the phase and I don't think we can close the phase early by getting majority with plurality voting, so I'll keep my vote where it is while waiting for a claim from DBoy. I'll be able to move it before the end of the phase.
Yes I didn't realize it was an extended phase. I'm glad that's becoming sort of a thing.

apologies if this has been discussed already. I'm just reading things now.
That like in a vanilla game, any scummer can just claim to be "vanilla (well, here Santa)" and skate by with that as a claim without having to fabricate an actual fake claim that can be busted. It's easy mode for the scummers, which frankly makes the argument for day one pressure more valuable IMO. Of course, we did not know that ahead of time, but that is besides the point.

This was my first thought. I have played games in this format before, it's just been a while. I remember "misdirector" being a go-to scum claim because it's one of those ambiguous roles that can go either way.
It's very common here to have duplicate powers for the Mafia and town in the same game. For roles like Doctor, RBer, MDer, Guide, etc.
The one exception seems to be Mafia RTers, which are wisely very seldom Mafia.
