General Mafia rules, stolen from other mods (specifically Quebbster):

This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...


2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. If you wish to leave your vote with another player, say leave vote with [player]. You cannot leave your vote with someone who already controls another player's vote. Vote counts are for tallying purposes only, and may not reflect the true vote totals.


3) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.


4) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.


5) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.


6) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. While not cheating, this is rather tacky and leads to a cranky moderator.


7) It is in your best interest to try and post when you are able to do so.


8) Phases are 36 hours long during the week and 48 hours during the weekend unless stated otherwise.


9) If you do not send in a night action I will not be happy. Odds are good you will not be taking an action, though I may randomize your target if it suits my purposes better. Miss two night actions in a row and I will start looking for a replacement.


10) If two or more night actions conflict, the action submitted first gets priority.


11) Remember that this is just a game. Have fun and behave.


NEW RULE (for me)


12) This game uses plurality voting. Whoever has the most votes at the end of the phase will be lynched. No lynch is an acceptable vote. Ties will be broken by longest held last vote. Ex:
Alfred votes Catwoman
Batman votes Alfred
Catwoman votes Alfred
Deadshot votes Catwoman


Alfred would be the lynch, as the last vote on Alfred (Catwoman’s vote) was placed before the last vote on Catwoman (Deadshot’s vote). If Catwoman and Deadshot both remove their votes, Catwoman would be the lynch, since the last vote on Catwoman (Alfred) was placed before the last vote on Alfred (Batman).

Hello mostly strangers. I see we are starting in Night 0. Is this like a typical Night where everyone submits night actions, or are we just hanging around waiting for the game to begin in earnest?

We are on Day 0. Once today is done, Night 1 starts and the tread is locked. That is when you can submit actions.

Minor correction - we're on day 1, not day 0. Apologies if that wasn't clear from the writeup post.

Yeah, I think either we were (or I was, given I was first to post) too eager to start, or cbob just forgot to announce the change from night 0 to day 1. That's usually in that same first post.
