Keep going. How does your playing make their game play harder?

27 pulls. 2 Kingpins and an Abigail Brand. Recovered 4 LTs and 37 CP, so 137 of the 550 spent.

My thinking was that if it got bumped to the final stage, it would increase the difficulty for other players.

Edit: And now I see the difficulty didn't seem to change after hitting the last Alliance milestone. Oops!

No….annoying was the guy who posted that 3* Scarlet Witch’s random CD tile placement was bad because nearly half of the time it was placed on the edge of the board.

Number of square on the board = 64
Half of that = 32
Number of Edge squares = 28

So yeah, appearing on the edge nearly half of the time is the expectation.

Just to add on to this, there was a crap 5* that entered the store. I want to say I opened 32-36 LTs until I got my first 5*. Thankfully it was the new 5* so I didn't have to pull more, but still that really stings.

Also, if you ever take the time to look at Harpua or NBperp's write ups when they open they always mention a cold streak of at least 20 or more LTs until they pull another 5*. That one time I spent my hoard to get Wanda and Colossus there were definitely times when I went 20+ pulls before seeing a 5*. Heck, even doing a fast 50 of standard tokens and getting a few 2*s, no 3*, and no bonus shards happened a few months ago.

I just saw a post on FB with someone describing getting 50 LL pulls with only 2 5* and then 30 CL with 8 5*.

Just mentioning it as another example of it happening to someone else.

I will also point out that if you lump all of that together, the pull rate is 1:8, not too far off of the 1:7 expectation.

I think the AI wanted to apologize this morning. Out of 50 Standard tokens I got 7 3* covers (stated rate 1:43) and bonus shards.

I will try and do a more thorough opening log on 2/7 for you, RP.
That is when Brand will be going into the LL store, so I will be opening LLs until I get her champed,
I should be starting with her at 1 cover and at least two covers worth of shards, so I need to get around 10 covers for her.
Statistically speaking, it should take around 210 pulls to get that. The RNG gods tend to kick me in the Jimmy, though, so we shall see.
In any case, as phant says above, when I do this I will see where I have droughts.
I often have several spans of 20-25+ 4*s in a row with no 5*. Do this back to back and there is the 50.
But in the overall picture, I might have a couple of back-to-back 5*s and such that over the whole endeavor I am looking at something approximating the 1:7 expectation.

Please, don't got to any extra work on my account. Already feeling silly for bringing it up.

I just want to make sure thatyou don't get discouraged.

The gambler's fallacy tends to actually work out to be true when dealing with a computerized RNG because nothing is actually random with that.

And going through more work isn't actually more work.
I always log this stuff on paper as I go. I will just put more stuff in my write up.

Some people on here like to crunch numbers and see numbers crunched.

More importantly, others can pick up some ideas for their own game play, possibly.
If me making my post somehow helps you improve your game, that is great.

I've got enough covers on 4* Rocket & Groot that they've replaced 3* Iron Fist with Polaris and 3* Daken. I'm still deciding if the faster windup is better than having IF's Attack tile in the mix.

Doing much better in PVP. I'm still a long way from Top 10, but I squeaked into Top 25 on the Abigail Brand event and Top 100 on the others. I'm not going too far out of my way... when I get a notice everyone is healed, I go in and play a round, use medpacks when time allows. It's working out nicely.

PVE is now at SCL6, but might go for SCL 7 soon. (When does the required character shift from 2/3/4* to 3/4/5*?) I've noticed that my placement took a hit going to 6, but the rewards are still better.

You want RNG weirdness? I've got lots of 3* champed in the 180-200 range without really trying, yet poor Beast is sitting at a measly five covers. Who hates Beast? (Colossus and Sentry are my only other 3* waiting to champ.)

When it's open-covers day, I've been cracking the lowest level I have 50 of. (Except that one day with Mighty.) Anything that goes to a Champ is used immediately, as well as anything to Recruit. Anything else is left on the vine until I have a good reason to use it. (I have an irrational fear of not being able to train three, so I end up with 40+ on the vine. I'm weird.)

I'm still pretending CP and Legends tokens don't exist. I expect this to last until I have rostered all the 4* and have HP to spare. 87 down, 33 to go. I'm currently sitting on 25485 HP, 2161 CP, and 72 LL tokens.

Great job! PVP is usually easier when the required character is a new character, it levels the playing field. SCL 7 is when you need the required 5 but you can still do well without it. The rewards are so much better the higher the SCL you do it makes up for the not so good placement.

IF you want a trio of characters to play Rocket + Polaris + Luke Cage works well because that defense tile LC places will help a lot, and even more if Polaris gets to it. Luke Cage also tanks different colors so your Yellow and Black will be very useful.

Yup! I was able to MAx champ 2 Magnetos before MAx Champing Sentry.

Keep pretending. That hoard is going to come in so handy. You have almost 200 pulls, so if you are able to make sure to save up to 300 LL pulls then you can champ the three 5*s that are in the legendary store. If that is not what you want then that is always fine, but you will get to a point where that is what your goal is. The more CP you earn the better because of how versatile it is in any legendary store.

5* essentials start in SCL7, but I suspect if you analyze the rewards, you'll see progression in SCLX+1 is better than progression+decent placement in SCLX. My alliance mate recently jumped from SCL9 to SCL10 and he was gushing about how he gets more rewards with less effort.

Everyone breaks the "rule" about opening things that will likely contain something you can't use. The goal is to minimize the breaking. You are doing the right thing. When the time comes (and it's a year or more from now) and you are ready for 5*s, you'll wait until there's a good meta character in the legendary store. You'll pull until that toon is close to champ-able, and then you'll be done. Then you'll analyze your horde and go to the classic store until you are once again down to 300 pulls (or whatever number you end up deciding is right for you)

$30 for two shots at a better Royal Talon Fighter?

I have a 4* and would LOVE a 5*, but that is a gamble.

It says the odds are 1:40 for the 5*.

I think I am going to take a pass on this one.
Maybe if the other token was a legendary support token.

Another consideration (and I'm passing because I got the 5* Talon when it was in the Puzzle Gauntlet) .... how often are you using Okoye now? Per your advice, I've been blowing through PVE and PVP with Sangslaught
