It seemed very slow to me this year in the hall. It was still a great time, every game was a blast. Second time making the finals. I used the Tomar and Cheif team, it served me well on saturday with a 3-1 record. Sunday a two crit misses in a row on doomed Tomar, Warbound is great untill Karma sticks it to 'ya.
I played in 4 battle royals over the weekend, saw 2 DC chases handed out.:disappoin Unfourtunantly not to me. Those were some of the funnest games i have ever played. Jarimy123 was my opponent in the last couple on sunday. I had a feeling all that outwit was gonna hurt.
Can't wait for next year, wish i could make it to gencon
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and despise a fool

Those battle royals were friggin awesome man. Definitely gonna make it out there next year so I'll see you there.
On my way out Iran into one of my local players SgtPepper and he said it was slow in the game room this year. Would those of you that played agree?
Absolutely. The Sinestro Corps Anti-Monitor game on Saturday only had 18 people in it that I counted. 18. The last couple of years a game like that would have had 50 or so in it.
It was very slow in the tourney hall this year and I'm not sure why. I don't know if the con overall was slower, the jacked prices on boosters kept people away, or the lack of a big con exclusive meant the HC players didn't come out to get it and then end up playing a few games.
While I still had fun it wasn't as "big" as last year or the year before. The only negatives I came away with were the cost for the battle royales (there's no way WK should be charging everyone MSRP+ for these quick games), the way the unrestricted event was handled, and the complete unwillingness of both Wade and nbperp to address the way the unrestricted was handled (nbperp's response to me was "I'm sorry that you're upset about it"... no, you should be sorry that you guys ###### it up in the first place!). Other than that, I had a great time playing and hanging out with everyone.
Oh, and one thing I did learn (dunno if it's been mentioned or not) but the SC Anti-Monitor doesn't have the generics in them, nor a map or the ED. It's just the SCAM figure. I didn't see the inside contents of the box but that's what Wade told me.
Also the map for SI is the spaceship crash site. Outdoor with some blocking forming an "open ring" in the middle (think looking down on Stonehenge) with some other bits of debris making hindering.

.
I think we only had 18 on friday when i played in that as well.
Is the Sci-Fi finale the same as Highlander: The Source? I rented that a few months ago on DVD & that one hurt to watch (thank God for chapter select).
Yeah, that was it. Nothing as painful as watching 2 and 3 back to back. This one closed out the series and finally told us what the prize was.

Wine is only good with cheese, not Heroclix.

2x3 or 3x3, Hair?
And yeah, that sounds pretty dead, even compared to WWLA.

Sounds like the Savage Lands crash site from issue #2.
Rob and Pattie, representing the Maple Leaf and doing their usual thing. Way to go, "Jacques St. Croix" and "Dirty Ronnie"!

not that you need it but here is some rep for running my favorite Squirl in heroclix.....oh and turning him into a household appliance! Great move man!
Said I was thinking about it, not that I definitely would.
Just to add a bit to this... After thinking about it I decided that it wasn't about WK or the lack of any of their representative's willing to take responsibility for what happened. It was about playing a game and having fun. I'd never made a finals before so I decided I'd go and play a couple of games with a 'fun' team. I simply wanted to have some fun with some good competitors and fine clix players.

Yeah I'll tell ya, my friends and I came on friday with the intentions of playing then thought better of it, the price was too much for the tourneys and we figured our time is better spent doing other things.
Especially since they now want to go to GenCon we just let it go to wait until then.

I will be making a one day, Saturday daytrip to WWC. I will be bringing my 5 year old grandson to his first ever comic con I know he will have a blast and me asleep before we leave the city limits on the trip home.
I don't think I will have time for clix as I doubt he would want tp sit down to play a game. He LOVES to play with clix, but the game would be another story.
And Yes I am a 43 year old grandpa My step-son blessed our family with a superhero loving boy 5 years ago!
that so cool too know age plays nothing in the wk world..
