Fury hasn't been in charge for a while now. Don't knowwhy not, but he hasn't been - they addressed this in New Avengers already.

Unlike House of M, this run really could have been done in half the issues, its way to SLOW. Spidy will probably get his eye back, but who knows right now.

Not sure about Hulkling yet - he didn't revert to Skrull form when Super Skrull hit him with his little round thing, AND his Skrull "mother" wasn't his mother but his protector. I'm not ruling out the possibility of him being a Skrull, but I'm betting he's either not a Skrull or hes only half a skrull. They have said when Wiccan finds out about his origins he'll probably change his name, I'm hoping Hulkling does the same.

This issue sucked, the arc sucked and since Bendis left the book has pretty much sucked - hopefully it will get back on track next month. Though they address the mind reading in the issue, Mystique had Magneto's helmet on, so no one could read her thoughts. The problem with the issue was there was no point to the Polaris part of the story.

I meant in the cell at the end. Emma walks in and chats with "Magneto". She wouldn't be able to read his thoughts due to it really being Mystique. I would think that would have tipped her off.

Unless either 1) the cell prevented her from reading her mind or 2) White Queen was so pissed she wasn't trying to read her mind and just assumed it was.

there was a point to Polaris. she needed to be there so that her bf (Havok) would break her out thus releasing Magneto. It was all just a very elaborate plan.

and while I love MOST of Bendis' writing, he has a Wolverine & Spidey fetish...most of his stories focused on Wolverine...I was glad to see some other foci.

and I have actually liked Vaughn's writing...it was Immonen's art that I was having a problem with...it was horrible...but the writing of the arc was pretty good.
