Wow...yeah, I hate pogs. He basically made any ehal as long as he didn't crit miss.....
A good argument for the "pro retirement" camp.
I guess every cloud really does have a silver lining!
BoT
I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.
Damn, alright thanks guys. Jee, that team is pretty damn brutal. Always having to hit against a 19 defense when all he does is put an item in the corner (the laser turret, specifically) literally, go to that item and be in stealth there, and form barriers around yourself every non pushing chance he got. That is how my friend owned me with that team. I wish I used Isolation or Disbanded.....
The best way to take care of AFF is to take out Sue, I use Ghost Widow to do this, park her right next to sue with some AP and Auto Regen and do a click of damage to her every Round.
LAMP works well for this also.
I suppose Asp might work good in a pinch and if you can get him across the board any poison character can put a kink in Suzy Q's works.
Just remember to put AP onto your poison character. Smart players never play Force Field on sue, since she should never see combat butmeatheads tend to and that can be a real annoyance.
10-2-08 I just put a bunch of stuff on eBay including a numbered Super Skrull Illuminati and a CoG Galactus. Check it out.
Its a great card. They should restrict it to only FF TA (I think it is) and to ten range or ten range with line of fire. Otherwise an FF theme team is really weak.
A good team should be able to beat an Alt-FF team. You should always build a team that can take out a character with a high defense. Whether it is Ares, Superman, KC-GL, KC-Flash, Valkyrie, etc., you have a good chance of running into someone that is hard to hit.
Of course, if your whole team only has an AV of 9, you are going to have a rough time. And this is one of my biggest problems with Seth's designs.
Poison + Crosswinds has always foiled the FF ATA teams I've played, especially when using LE Tyrone Johnson + Passenger and/or Lockjaw + Asp. Phase in with a PC'er (Destiny or R Domino), hope you make your SS or PC roll, deal Poison damage on your next turn. Sweet.
I'm wary of dropping Disbanded, since it also affects the theme teams I play regularly.
It was a 500 point game...and from memory his team was:
Vet Doom from CT
E Ultron from IC
V Scarlet Witch from FF
E Doc Midnite
Alfred Pog
Alicia Masters pog
Jarvis pog
I know he had the Alt FF TA card in play as well as Thunderbolts using the Superman enemy team. And Oracle on Doom/Ultron
Basically doom and Ultron were stealth, could see stealth, each had Outwit and could be healed for any roll besides a crit miss.
I tried to bring some posion over via Cloak but he got hit for 5 plus knockback and death....wasn't my finest hour.
PS I am SUPER PRO-retirement...for these reasons!
He could tell u didnt like that team. On the way home he said, "if i used wildcard MJ like I was going to, i bet mike would have leaned over the table and smacked me."
Even though he is my brother I yell at him all the time over teams like this. The worst part is I'm fielding teams like defenders and carp like that and hes smacking me around, its not so fun, but watchya gonna do. Its not that bad.
Leave's become most beautiful when they're about to die
