Another game my friend and I had today (if you already saw my BT and TB thread) was his "FF" team. All he had was Sue Storm w/the Alt FF TA feat. Then the rest of his clix we're wildcards that wildcarded into the alt FF, thus gaining a blasted 19 D.
Was that a legal team my friend did? Thanks.

Eli Manning will win a Super Bowl in his career. Peyton Manning will not even reach one.
Actually, Im pretty sure you CAN Thunderbolt the Alternate F4 TA.
The only thing is, you need to have an actual F4 member AND the card in play.
When you Thunderbolt Fantastic4, you have the effects of the card.
The only problem is, that once all the REAL (Base-printed) members are KO'ed, the card is gone and you get the original TA's effects.
Im pretty sure thats how it works.....

Nope. You can only get the original FF TA, even if you have alt TA FF characters on your force. It's because Alt FF requires the FF Ability as a prereq which the Avengers don't have. And you have to have the prereqs on your dial before any feats are applied in order to be eligible for a feat.

No. You may not Thunderbolt an Alternate Team Ability. From Hair10's FAQ under the Feats and Thunderbolts section:
Quote
Q: If a player has both Avengers and Fantastic Four characters on a team and is using both the Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four feat cards, can the player declare the alternate Fantastic Four team ability with Thunderbolts? If the Thunderbolts choose Fantastic Four do they get the original Fantastic Four team ability or the alternate Fantastic Four team ability (the one specified on the feat card)?
A: Avengers using Thunderbolts may not choose a team ability that is provided by a feat card. If the Thunderbolts choose Fantastic Four as their team ability they would receive the original Fantastic Four team ability.
Damn, alright thanks guys. Jee, that team is pretty damn brutal. Always having to hit against a 19 defense when all he does is put an item in the corner (the laser turret, specifically) literally, go to that item and be in stealth there, and form barriers around yourself every non pushing chance he got. That is how my friend owned me with that team. I wish I used Isolation or Disbanded.....

Put 2 items in a corner, and have LE Sue and a cheap character with barrier and stealth sit on them, and every round put 4 squares of barrier up around them. Ouch!
Imagine if you could Thunderbolts ATA FF. Antman with a 20 DEFENSE. When the cards first came out, I did that, and Hawkeye on the sled was brutal. 23 Defense from range. 20 from antman (ATA from Avengers to FF), Energy Shield +2, and on an item for +1 =23 THat was a fun team to use.
Alt. FF is indeed brutal, and I won a few tournaments with Sue Storm before deciding to put her back in the tacklebox for awhile. But you do have a number of counters available - Pulse Wave and Poison in particular are never bad to have on your force.
Isolation is probably the best BFC to use against the FF, because it kills the team ability whilst being very easy to build around yourself. Building around Disbanded can be tough.
Can you use Alicia Masters to Alt FF a Wildcard's defense for healing? If so, that's smart...but a pain!
Yes. You can't use modified values with Support... nothing wrong with replacement values, though. One of the reasons E Dr. Strange (IC) and U Silver Surfer make such good medics for Defenders teams; both of their DVs are pretty low by the time they get Support and they can just use their own DVs instead of their teammates when healing
