This is NOT a real-life or even comic accurate game in every sense of the word because of the fact that if it were, the rulebook would be several chapters or volumes longer.... look at the D&D rulebooks. If you want accuracy, you have to have a LOT more rules and technicalities, and clarifications....... all the things that players ALREADY complain about.
This game is meant to be more simplified than D&D and other tabletop games so that more players can play it easier. With simpler things comes more streamlining and more generalizations (to make it "shorter and sweeter"). If you want a "more accurate" game, go for something more complex like D&D.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
Like if Spidey gets hurt, and a doctor gives him medicine, he may be unresponsive to it, and NOT get healed.
I don't know what kind of shoddy doctors you've seen, but in britain we house rule that all support roles automatically suceed and heal 1d6+4 clicks of health.......all british doctors are just that good.
(This message is brought to you, with extreme bias, by a british NHS doctor)
It takes SNIKT!/Bub/Cigar-boy alot longer to heal from more serious damage than say a paper cut and in the case of many healing or regenerative characters he heals fast, not right. Where as a medical physician of some kind or someone utilizing magic or super science to heal someone else will know what to do and what not to do to a patient.
I wish they'd change regen to Auto Regen with minus 3 or 4 to the result with guaronteed 1. There are ways to fix existing powers instead of creating feats in a lot of cases.
Oh & Blades, Claws, Fangs can hit a major artery in a person or a fluid line in a robot or lob a head clean off. Coarse so can a bullet (hit an artery). A bullet or a fist to the family jewels is kinda same diff in terms of it hurting more than somewhere else. Blades claw fang people kinda ought to just get high damage or CCE depending if they have range or not; but I'm okay with it as is.

Simply put, it's a way to represent a comic aspect. It may not be "accurate", but it's as close as the original designers could come up with.

Neither really makes sense from a whole lotta perspectives:
Characters with "Battle Fury" cannot be carried, yet can be medically treated?
A character can receive "Support" and then dash into combat (same turn) yet without a special piece of Cardboard, the regen character must just sit around hoping to heal.
I agree with your post so much, try to rep you but must spread the rep around first. To me, there is just too much against a regen character.
Salu Digby as LeVIathan in clix!
“I used to be a heroclix player like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.”
To me, there is just too much against a regen character.
And I've got to agree with this. If you wanted to make a regenerating character TRULY accurate, it would require giving a click of healing every turn that they are not at their first click.... but that would be WAAAAAAY too powerful.
I think it's the same reason that no video game with Wolverine has ever truly made his regeneration power a main focus.... usually, the "special power" button they assign for him extends/retracts his claw OR has some berzerker attack of sorts.
