There has been no indication that they are planning to give an errata to Iron Man/War Machine, and there really isn't any need to as the figure works just fine as it is. It's not like they've gone back and given errata to any other "early variation on some standard we adopted later" figures to match the later adoption. I don't expect we'll be seeing any errata for early AE figures in light of the Hulk set either.

what about a friendly figure being MC'd thru Compel? would the existing action token matter at that point, or would it be just like regular MC?

Yes he would. Compel allows you to target a friendly character with mind control the stipulations for the mind control do not change.

so i can compel larfleeze to make a token, and then walk for 12 after he's made a token as a free action, and it's all gravy, right?

If an action, ANY action, is used via Mind Control that action is a free action. And, no, it doesn't matter if we're talking normal Mind Control, Mind Control from a special power, Mind Control to a friendly via a feat or other special power, etc. Mind Control = Mind Control.

Yes, that works fine. The action given during a Mind Control is a FREE action, so it places no tokens. Any action can be used, even a double power action, even if the character already has a token.
