I am still tickled about the Blue Jackets moves right before the deadline. Getting rid of Mason was absolutely needed. And then picking up Marian Gaborik and Blake Comeau without giving up any of our 3 first round draft picks was amazing.

How is Nicky (Foligno) doing for you guys? I see his PIMs are much better and his points seem ok, but stats don't usually tell the whole story for him. I was sad to see him go, always liked him, and hope he is doing well.

Next year it'll be much easier to see you guys play as you're going to be in the East.

And yeah, picking up Gaborik was great (got him the hell out of NY which was apparently becoming an issue)...........nice to see CBJs trending in the right direction.....a lot of franchises would have been hard pressed after going through a situation similar to the Nash one....very good to see!

Definitely a Jackets guy. I live about 15 minutes from Nationwide Arena, and what a fun place that is right now. Playoffs or not, it has been a really good season.

Folingo is great. I love guys that have speed and can handle the puck. Plus he can draw in defenders, which creates openings for his team mates and opens the ice up. Last night, he spun away from Saku Koivu and set up Fedor Tyutin for the game winner.

I was terrified at how the season could have gone, once Nash was traded away. Their horrible start, reflected it. Then Coach Richards...what can you say about the guy... He got them to start believing in themselves. They are playing wide open and are hungry. Teams like Detroit are playing not to lose. The Jackets are playing to win every game. If they get fortunate enough to get into the playoffs, they will likely play Chicago. But if they do, they may not be a team that anyone wants any part of. They're hot at the right time.

While I am excited for you guys to get in the playoffs I can't cheer to much as it looks like it's DET you'd be bumping out......now if the two of your teams could bump out the Wild or the Blues.....

No matter how it ends up it'll be nice to be able to see more of your games next year when you get shifted to the east.


Oh, a follow up if I may............how was Methot when he was over there (he'd been so much more than anything we could have asked for!), in your opinion?

I've heard from some that he was a rotating top 4 guy who would be streaky but some people were suggesting he was your 7th-8th on the depth chart. Did he just have little injuries (blocking shots) keeping him from being 100% or is it just you had/have a bunch of up and comer's?

I loved Methot. He did have a few injuries from playing hard. But a lot of his lack of stats came from being on the Blue Jackets. They just weren't a very competitive team. He did hustle and did everything he could. I think he jumped between first and second line defense.
