Ya, I just built my computer just built in May of last year and it was top of the line then. I can run every other game with max settings but I'll try these suggestions. When I do get into the game with the map loading and it actually runs there is no slow down at all. I'll try the windowed setting.

After losing my first 10 games, I've won my last 3 in a row. Well I would have won a few but ragequitters didn't let me. So I think I've finally got the hang of it.

I have finally experienced HCO's frustration and probably the extent of its fun.
By Saturday night, all of the old codes I had laying around were finally put in and I now have a meager 50-some figure virtual collection. I quickly put a number of teams together at various point values, just to have some available to try out. Tutorials provided some insight, as have threads here, and I felt ready to give it a go. I went to the lobby and waited for a game.
I see the name Blinny come up, 300 points IIRC. Didn't recognize the name, but that's ok. I went for it. Clicked through the prompts to join and...got kicked out of the app. It signed me out and everything. I can't remember now the order of things, but either prior to this or when I tried to get back on from the boot the software ran an update. I doubt it's related, but anyway I logged back in and tried to click on the lobby again, but all of the sudden the board comes up and I'm in the game with Blinny.
Ok, it's my turn. I hadn't even placed my pieces, but it's go time. I fiddled with a move action, and I might have successfully moved one piece before I get a warning that I've used up all of my banked time. What? I just started! So, apparently I had been logged into the game all along despite being completely out of the program. Blinny hits me up on chat. "Are you there?" Very helpful player. I explained a bit of what happened, he gave me some tips, but nothing was working for either of us except that the game clock was ticking down and still had half an hour left. So, I volunteered to quit.
I have NEVER conceded a HeroClix game. EVER. First time on HCO I have to quit.
So I backed out of the program again, made sure I had nothing running in the background. Logged back in, looked at the settings, which I think are good for what I'm running (actually scaled back despite exceeding requirements). Settled my ire and returned to the lobby.
It was getting late, so I wasn't really sure I wanted to monkey with another bug out, and I had to take care of a few other distractions around the house, anyway, but there was player up in the lobby (and forgive me, but I forget the name) looking for a 1500 point game. I almost bit on a few other standard-ish builds, but there was this with the kids and the wife had to tell me that and I just wasn't into it. But I checked back after a while and that 1500 pointer was still waiting. Why not?
I threw together all my most expensive pieces and then filled in the bulk of my virtual collection until I had one thousand five hundred points of Marvel HeroClix. And I joined up. And it worked this time. And we played.
He's across the lab from me mashing down walls. I stumbled through some move actions to get my heavies and (of course) Scarlet Witch to where they may be most beneficial. Of course, I realize too late why he's so intent on redecorating: Magneto. Well, if I gotta learn, why not the hard way? Oh, and Avengers Movie Hulk. Yep. The hard way.
Well, there were some very interesting plays, and despite the fact that I only ever managed to get about half of my team out of my starting area, I don't think I did too bad. I nearly took out Ragnorok Surtur with the combined effort of Thor and Heimdall near the end of the game clock, and at the very least kept his Atom from properly healing the fiery demon. I was surprised to learn, however, that despite the game clock's expiration, the game went on. I stumbled through some more weird set ups, totally foibled an HSS attack by Thor that would have KO'd Surtur, and ultimately lost three characters totalling 285 points. I don't remember if I killed any of his. I still haven't figured out what ended the game, but it was merciful that I didn't have to endure much more punishment at Magneto's hands.
I did have fun with it, and will try to play again when I have time. Nothing, however, convinced me that this is a game worthy of another cent of my money.
I won't look at your dial-on-card, I don't look at my own, and you don't need to see my DOC, ever. Otherwise, we're not playing HeroClix.
