Omen 98pts
Indigo 150pts
Scarlet Witch 50pts
-Avengers(Heroic Age) 2pts
=300pts
This team has an "Outsider", two mystics, two probs, two perplexes(Omens doesn't need LOF and is only -2), mind control(also doesn't need LOF w/Omen), duo target incap, two psychic blasters, barrier, and Indigo has a trait that lets her stop opposing characters within 6 squares from taking power actions.
Plus you get to brag about not having a theme team or using a resource. Then ladies will want to have sex with you. I hope.....
nice team man! I LOVE OMEN!
the team Im the most comfortable playing competitively right now is Barda, Dark Phoeinx,Switch, and Bat Signal. but Im switching over to Ghost Rider/voodoo since Hired tokens are more reliable than TK or Boom Tube. mystic feedback damage helps counter team bases too.
currently playing:
Dragon Quest VIII
Heroclix
Go
currently listening:
The Shins- Chutes to Narrow
Yo La Tengo- And then nothing turned itself inside out.
The Faint- Wet from birth
Just started working this team out, it seems to be efficient but "the best laid plans..." and all. So far it's beaten out four other 300pt teams. I am hoping to give it a shot at Supremacy League soon.
Kryptonian Theme Team
SM001r Superman 150pts
MOS002 Kryptonian Scientist 36pts
MOS011 Jax-Ur 62pts
MOS012 Jara Lor-Van 31pts
Utility Belt (full with cowl) 14pts
Total 293
This version of Superman packs the scientist and Kryptonian keyword which lets him buff the Kryptonian scientist. Jax Ur does the same and uses his ability keep Superman or in some cases the Kryptonian scientist in the fight. against damage reducers. Lara provides support and keeps the Man of Steel in the fight even after that lucky punch from some heavy hitter by sacrificing herself to put Superman back on that Regen click.
The Belt provides some handy options for tie up and move and attacks along with stat bumps and stealth against those pesky ranged attackers.

Looks like a strong team. I think I would do without one belt item and give all four characters the Kryptonian ATA for 8 points, since you have 7 unused points. The ATA, which grants you +1 attack when on the highest level of outdoor terrain, is situational, but so are belt items, and you stand a good chance at picking the map since you have four theme characters. The new Smallville map, from Man of Steel, might be a good choice for you.

I came to this same conclusion last night as I was putzing around with the team on a few different maps. Map roll would definitely be vital but with this map and with the Power Station from No Man's Land (Quake side) I could definitely take advantage of terrain in the process.
Oops, I just realized the team I posted wasn't a theme team and that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the thread. Well here is a themed version of that team:
N.O.W.H.E.R.E. theme
Omen 98 pts
Warblade 151pts
Nowhere soldier 37 pts
X3 NOWHERE ATA 6pts
+UB w/1 item 8 pts
=300 pts
The new ATA for NOWHERE is pretty cool, it lets you ignore hindering and blocking for movement purposes. Having Warblade charge through walls is awesome, plus it ensures that Omen can move about and hide freely. And the soldier henchman, adding outwit to Omen or Warblades arsenal, can come in handy too.
Brother Voodoo
Morbius
Sharon Carter
Howling commandos Ata on Bro Voodoo (Sharon can heal him now)
Full Gauntlet on Voodoo or Morbius (still not sure on that)
=300
This may not be my most efficient team at 300 but I will be playing it soon. Looks very fun to me.
I think with Voodoo in stealth he will be even more difficult to manage. Morbius is a real threat with his outwit special. Sharon is pushable to get her to perplex making her an asset.
GWAR CLIX PLEASE
I have an extra Mikhail Rasputin card and need an Exodus card. Are you my soul mate? Pm me.

Wouldn't it be better to choose a map with no elevation? That way the whole map is effectively on the highest elevation. All all these Kryptonians gets a permanent +1 on their attack.

Very true, I hadn't considered that til I faced off against a team recently that did this very trick.
I want to see (not going, but curious) if Kid Zoom could make an impact in the Golden Age Tournament at Gencon
87 Kid Zoom
14 Utility Belt - Bat Cowl, 2x Batarang, 2x Radar Monitor, Grapel Gun, Smoke Gernades
That puts him at 101 (but he can drop as low as 98 to keep Stealth and Indom) and gives him stat boosts on most click.
109 Sun Girl
She brings RS/PB and a bonus if Kid Zoom can tag an opponent first.
80 Spider-Man 2099
03 Spider-Man Family TA
While you have the points to run Prime's Titans ATA to clear tokens from SM2099 it is probably better to copy the enemy's Mystics.
Total 292
Not sure if the Golden Age build allows Feats, but if so drop Protected on Kid Zoom.
What it lacks: TK, Prob
Another thought was to blend Kid Zoom into a Book of the Skull swarm utilizing the hammers to boost Spiral (yes from CT) and Johnny Alpha (yes from Indy) and a ranged attacker with the left over. I don't know how fast you could really equip more than a couple hammers making it important to get Skadi's on Spiral AND Mokk's on Johnny or your other attacker while edging for board control. While pieces like Immortus might shine with Mokk's Hammer the points suggest KZ and Immortus can't take all of Gencon... even with The hammers and a Rookie Johnny Alpha helping out.
Kid Zoom and Noh-Varr with a Johnny Alpha could potentially be pretty grounded. Noh-Varr has a longer dial than Sun Girl and has versatility, but his HSS will get stuffed if he gets hit... This is one of the reasons I'd be shy to play Somewhere In Time with Kid Zoom... though Mokk's Hammer would allow SIT perhaps a better option on those last three clicks.
What about?
123 Hulk 2099
087 Kid Zoom
064 V Johnny Alpha
006 Book of the Skull
003 attach: Skadi
003 attach: Mokk
That leaves 14points (17 if you only play Skadi's; for Hulk 2099) to upgrade Johnny A or run Feats (if they're allowed).
This thread was for themes, so the stronger Kid Zoom builds aren't going to be here, but I do think with Nightcrawler and the Bug running around Kid Zoom could at least see play... and maybe even open it up for another GA concept to win instead of Metron/Crawler or Bug/Crawler or those stupid LAMP cop cars
I'm still EXTREMELY new to clix and therefore only have so much (luckily I pulled well when buying my first TT pack).
Currently the best team I have assembled is as follows:
#047a Starfire from TT
#008 Nightwing (SOG)
#016 Batgirl (SOG)
My team is not perfect but I have done well with it so far for the following reasons:
I always start Starfire off carrying Nightwing (she mods his defense when adjacent) and I running shot a target opponent. She is mad powerful so this is generally successful on its own. I then place the nightwing between myself and my target as he is a sacrificial lamb more or less. This nightwing is excellent for recieving and dealing close combat and if you start him on his lesser value, he has flurry right off the bat. Even if you do kill him, you'll hve taken enough damage for the Starfire to just go in for the kill, taking no damage herself.
The Batgirl has three purposes. 1: stealth, I stick her in hindering on the same level as Night wing and perplex up his defense (2) Her third purpose is her gooperangs which compliments Star's energy explosion when used in the same turn on the same targets.
Again, I'm new, and this isn't perfect.....but it was good enough to win a few against seasoned players so I thought I'd post
