Oh, cool. I must have misread something somewhere.
If I had to guess I'd say it's because the Bajoran ship was the Akorem, which is also the name of one of the two pilots we had for a Bajoran lightship on the show. Hell, if you google Akorem, you get the Bajoran poet first, and then his lightship.

Actually, I was originally hoping for a lightship for heroclix tactics...though if we got it here...I don't know. 5 point ship? No attack or shields, low hull and movement except for a random 4 forward red? I'm sure there'd be some reason to have one...maybe to put a buff generating captain or crew on? I mostly just think they were pretty...which is my large reason for wanting a D'Kyr. Say what you want about Enterprise, but the Vulcans had the most prettiful ships in the franchise.
It has the power to piss off Cardassians and would boost the power of nearby Bajoran craft. They way it catches the solar eddies and traveled to Cardassia real quick it could also have a move 6 template. Beyond that I have very little idea.

Also, tell me after that Month 3 op event, you wouldn't have wanted a super inexpensive ship or two to transport units with while the bulk of your force was taking out enemies. With so many scenarios to run, a teeny ship like that has bound to have other uses. Maybe a Bajoran/Federation civilian version of Sisko or something with the power "during your preparation phase, roll an attack die. On any hit result, Jake would rather go flirt with girls."
I want the cube to be the first "big base". I could see it being a 7 attack, 0 agility, 8 hull, 8 shields.
I think design has to be careful with it. On one hand, having it deal too much damage means ships are one-shotted - which isn't fun. Also, its inaccurate as it seemed many times the Borg ships had to shoot capital ships more than once to destroy them.
On the other hand, we all saw how easy DS9 was destroyed by the overpowered Klingon horde teams capable of dealing 15-20 damage in one turn.
I'd almost like to see a cube with strong damage - 5, maybe, with awesome tech or the ability to "steal" tech. Additionally, perhaps an ability that is something like it converts criticals to regular hits and reduces the number of hits by -1 per attack.
This way it has a long life that it can rely on but isn't throwing out so much damage that the attacking ships have no chance.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

Ugh. I disagree. Completely. Subjective I know, but ugh.

or something.
Wouldn't it be better to just get shuttlecraft or runabout if you want a ship to transport troops? They are far better small transport craft in the shows than the rickety solar ship, aren't they? I always thought of that solar ship as akin to an old sailing ship compared to the modern ships we normally see in the shows.

It'll be a small STT re-use. Probably appropriate in power to make it a large ship, but the sculpt will look tiny on the bigger base. It'd be cool if they gave us a new sculpt for it, but I'm not holding my breath...

Makes me wonder if Attack Wing could ever be successful enough to become THE set to which design sculpts FIRST and sends the retreads to Tactics.
Well the attack fighters are unique sculpts to Attack Wing....so I would think so.
But Attack wing will be hard pressed to make many more than Tactics (if it continues)...Tactics just puts out so many sculpts and Attack Wing has so many sculpts to get to still........heck, going all the way to include Wave4 (and including the LE Nebula) Attack wing still has 5 sculpts to use from the first 12 we saw in Fleet Captains just for Federation ships.
I do think we will see more 'first appearance' sculpts appear in Attack Wing when the time comes though.

Well there is also one more Borg cube sculpt that we haven't seen in physical form to from the Tactics adds.....so maybe?
I think they could scale up the size without too much issue.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?

Oh that would seem to be a good idea. 5 or 6 attack would seem fitting I think you are right 7 is too much. Having the ability to steal tech is a must as well.
I figure it wouldn't have any agility as in the shows they normally just stood there and took it and asked for seconds.
I could even see them having the generic and the named ships having special text for the Borg. Named would have something like reduces attack die by one, and they can repair a hull or shield. Then the generic can reduce attack by one.
Just give both named and generic two tech slots and have something like
Adaptive shielding: (Tech) For each subsequent time this ship was attacked during this round, reduce an attacking ship's dice by 1.
Regenerative Hull: (Tech) At the start of the planning phase, roll 1 attack dice. On a Hit, heal this ships hull of 1 damage. On a crit, heal it of two damage.

I like this-make them really resilient and you can mimic the effect of having them really powerful without having them be overwhelming.
I could have swore when we first saw news for wave 5, the slide show also showed the Borg Cube. The impression I received was it would be the grand prize for the next tournament.
