I heard this from one of the guys in my FB group who got it off Boardgamegeek.com that the following ships are supposed to be in Wave 5

Borg Tactical Cube
Bajoran Interceptor 5
Vulcan D-Kyr

He wouldn't say where as he does want to get the source in trouble but one of the posters says he runs a shop and they are listed as a pre-order. There is no Federation ship, beyond the Vulcan one, listed in the assortment and it has only 3 ships so I am not sure but I thought you all might want to know.

If this is true I will put $15 from every paycheck until may or whenever and get as many tactical cubes as I can.

Probably. Depends on the upgrades, etc. RIght now i need to worry about the OP kit stuff.

I wonder how they'll handle the cubes. If they follow the normal formula (stats x2) they could easily look like:

88 points, leaving room for Captain 1 of 9 and some tech and weapons upgrades for a 100 point 1-ship fleet. A special ability to steal tech upgrades off enemy ships or something.

I hope they do not do something of that sort. Having to slodge thru 33 hit points is not going to be a fun game considering that cube can very easily one-shot most ships in this game.

The Borg will be super difficult to balance accuracy and game balance, I think.

Agreed. I can see the Tactical Cubes being the most difficult.

I do not have concerns on any of the other Borg ships. Hopefully they will get creative and give us two scales on the Tactical Cubes. One in the 40-60 pt range and then a "scenerio" style one like you envisioned.

The part that thrills me is the fact we are getting another Bajoran ship. Maybe I will get a fleet out of them yet.

Isn't the one we're getting the solar sail ship? That seems like such an odd choice to me. It's awesome, but not exactly a combat ship.

Sailing ship? No it looks like the one from tactics as far as I understand
