The OP asks if batman can be healed beyond his starting line with steal energy from black hand which has already been ruled that he cannot, he says nothing about the oblivion special power. Somewhere along the line people started refering to.the wrong SP. While this interaction may be possible (although I have my doubts as to whether it's inteded), the answer to the question in the first post is absolutely no.

The OP did not quote the power in question. That is why people were guessing as to which one he was asking about. The Death (Steal Energy power) was already ruled on and no one questioned that ruling.

The Oblivion of Death power was also stated and folks could not agree on if that power worked or not.

I have stated that the Oblivion of Death would in fact work since it is modifying the power that allows Batman to heal past his starting line and is not in of itself a form of healing.

So he would heal from the Oblivion SP, not the Steal Energy Sp. Got it. Thread closed.

I thought Vlad's explicit "steal energy is the only way" could be interpreted to exclude things that affect the steal energy. I just realized how crazy it is when I have to analyze the clarifications to the rules on top of the rules themselves.
So I asked that exact question on the rules forum. I see they like you better.
