With Hulk you would heal only if he is KO'd by the attack.
Wolfsbane doesn't take any damage if she doesn't roll 1-2, so no healing from Steal Energy.
Vanisher your point on Hulk is not correct. His power does not say to turn his dial if you run out of Rage Tokens. It says he is KO'd. It is actually an alternate KO condition and you would not Heal since he would never actually take damage.

The last part of Hulk's power says:
If Hulk takes more damage than the number of Rage tokens on this card, he is KO'd.
He needs to take damage to be KO'd. If he is KO'd, then he has taken damage and Steal Energy will activate.

Again I disagree. His power tells you how he is KO'd. It does not say to turn his dial if you cannot remove Rage Tokens. It literally tells you he is KO'd. Per the wording that means you do not turn his dial, he does not reach a KO click, and it is in fact an alternate KO effect. Since you don't turn his dial that damage is never dealt.
When ever a power tells you how a figure is KO'd if it is not via turning the dial to a KO click it is am alternate KO effect.

The power clearly says "if he takes more damage", so he has to take damage to be KO'd. He removes Rage Tokens instead of taking damage, but once he can no longer remove those tokens he takes the last damage and is KO'd. The power tells us that he is taking damage, and that is why Steal Energy will activate. The fact that normally taking damage means turning the dial doesn't matter here, as this special power bends the rules as special powers do.

Please don't try to only quote part of the power to make your point. It is beneath you.
RAGING OUT!: Hulk can use Impervious and Improved Movement: Ignores blocking terrain and destroys blocking terrain as the character moves through it. After rolling for Impervious, remove a Rage token for each click of damage that Hulk would take. If Hulk takes more damage than the number of Rage tokens on this card, he is KO'd. This power can't be countered or ignored.
The predecessor tells you that he does not actually take the damage. You remove the token before he would actually take the damage. If there are not enough Rage tokens and he would take damage he is KO'd.
Bottom line this power is very poorly worded. Clearly he does not take damage and the power kicks in before that would happen. Otherwise the power would do nothing. So after you roll for Impervious you check to see how much damage you would take.
Lets say Hulk has 2 Rage Tokens and is hit with a 5 damage Attack. Hulk fails his Impervious Roll. Impervious reduces the damage from 5 to 3. Hulk removes his 2 tokens and he would now take 1 damage. Here is where it gets tricky.
The power starts off saying this happens when he WOULD take damage. It then changes and says when he takes damage. The problem is he never takes damage. The power already activated before he takes damage. So how can he take damage when the power says it happens before he takes damage?
If the power worked when he took damage, then the dial would have already turned revealing a KO click and it would be pointless. So obviously it happens before he takes damage.
So then what happens if he would take more damage then Rage tokens? This is where it gets tricky. So damage has not occurred yet, but the power says that he must take damage to be KO'd. To be the intent is clear that it should read if he would take more damage then the number of tokens he is KO'd. Otherwise there is no reason to say he is KO'd. As soon as he would take one damage a KO click is revealed and he would be KO'd anyway. But his power KO's him so you could never actually turn the dial. But his power only KO's when he takes damage which would turn the dial and KO him anyway.... AND the circular logic of this power kicks in.
Due to the wording, if you ONLY read the last part there is no right answer. It would literally be circular logic to infinity. When you look at the power in full you can see that the timing of the power is before he would take damage. Since it triggers before he would take damage and the Power itself KO's him, you never turn the dial and therefor he never takes damage so you do not heal from Steal Energy.

To put this to rest one way or another I submitted the following to WES:
I'm confused by this power and how it interacts with Steal Energy and other Similar effects.
For Steal Energy:
Each time an opposing character takes damage from a close combat attack made by this character, heal this character of 1 damage.
Taking damage is dependent on turning the dial. So to heal from Steal Energy you must turn the opposing characters dial to actually deal damage.
How does that interact with:
RAGING OUT!: Hulk can use Impervious and Improved Movement: Ignores blocking terrain and destroys blocking terrain as the character moves through it. After rolling for Impervious, remove a Rage token for each click of damage that Hulk would take. If Hulk takes more damage than the number of Rage tokens on this card, he is KO'd. How does this work? The power triggers before Hulk ever takes damage. If he would take more damage then the number of Rage Tokens he can remove what happens? His power says if he takes damage he is KO'd. However, when would you take the damage? I'm assuming the power is saying that if he would take more damage than the number of Rage Tokens he can remove he is immediately KO'd. Is that correct? Or does the power mean that if he would take more damage than the number of Rage Tokens he can remove he turns his dial revealing a KO click and he is then KO'd?
Can you please explain if Hulk ever takes damage with this power or if he is just KO'd. Also, would Steal Energy ever be able to trigger against Hulk while he is on this power?

I'm curious to see the answer. The power is poorly written. However for this power to do Anything I agree he couldn't actually have his dial turned. Otherwise if I did 3 damage to the Hulk and he failed Impervious then he would remove 1 rage token BUT he would still take that 1 damage and be KO'd. So for the power to work he mmust never actually take damage.
aqhoffman- greatest post possibly ever
jtallday- Jon I wouldn't challenge you if I wasn't sure you are wrong cuz I don't have that kind of energy.
I'm curious, too... I could see the argument going both ways on this, but Dragon makes a good point. :-\
"Next on 'When Rules Lawyers attack!'"
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

I am still awaiting an answer to this question. My question has neither been approved or denied at this point....

"Since Hulk removes tokens instead of taking damage, he is not considered to be taking damage and Steal Energy would not trigger if used to attack and damage him while he is on click #11."
