The lack of an Uncanny ATA makes X-Force teams a bit harder... However, most venues are "Silver Age" anyway so I don't think it matters outside official WizKids events.
With all the unbalancing figures WK/NECA produces, they expressly cite ATA's as problem game elements!?!
Are TA's being Retired next? Mystics has LONG been a "problem" game element....
The new rulebook(s) would be an ideal forum to provide a complete listing of all TA's and ATA's; that way a player will have all the information he/she needs in a concise listing.
ATAs are still playable in Golden Age. Many high-level competitive Modern Age builds don't use them. It's a min/max world in which a theme can break some of the better strategies.

TAs are almost as problematic as ATAs in terms of their count (78, currently). That requires even more documentation-- ~8-10 pages added to a Rulebook-- that would be considered "non-new user friendly" (in WK's words). Which ones get priority for printing?
Team abilities could realistically be retired to Golden Age by 2019, after which successors would feature equivalent standard powers or SPs/Traits to compensate, with some new design overlap in anticipation. Reduce everything to the character card and a simplistic PAC, with a smaller Rulebook (10-14 pages).
I haven't used many ATAs since the change to the rules that made them yet another keyword\theme team exclusive bonus. I would hope that if they are still allowed locally we won't have to build a keyword team just to be able to use one. Otherwise, buh-bye!

Unlike many other resources that just boost any team. The P-van is more like the Quinjet, requiring your entire build to center around it. Preferably you drive it up in position when the opposing heavy-hitters are double-tokened, then hang out while they clear and THEN pop out a weapon and a Punisher to bring the pain. Currently the most popular choices seem to be the new FF one, the CW r one. It's a tricky finesse build whose rather obvious play strategy is easily thwarted by most skilled opponents. But it's fun!
