couldn't you just of used the Scroll on BESD, yeah temporary but kills the BESD which was the goal, right?

No...what would be the point of that..???

1. The opponent could negate it if they wanted

2. Why would I want the BESD unaffected by Water Dragon's effect while all of the other f/u monster's get affected INCLUDING my own Water Dragon???

oops! I forgot his effect. duh what was i thinking?

Too bad there's no DNA Surgery cards for the Deck or Graveyard...use a Graveyard one and instantly make BESD back 3000 ATK because there are no more "Dragon's" there XD.
