It is easy to jump up quickly in these initial tournaments (since all these players are starting at 1600).
After a few weeks, the winners will have 1750+ ratings, but most of their opponents will be under 1500 - making it harder for the winners to continue their rapid rise.
Luckily for me, our area has 4 stores doing sanctioning with distinct player pools.
