That's too bad, INN was the main reason I even went to the site. Loss of the map would be a sting, but ... I think it's a bit soon to be shouting curses at them, or weeping like you've lost a war buddy, this may be temporary. Wait a while, then we raise a mighty battle cry, and pettition like dweebs. (Do online pettitions ever work?)
I hope it was a matter of fluff, infact I think it'd be interesting to have a different planet as a news source, Towne was sort of in the middle of the action when the game first came out, now there's fighting all over y'know?
But if it was a matter of cost it's as simple as that. If y'all want to *donate* I'm sure WizKids would be happy to put it back up.
It couldn't have cost so much to have people write articles for them, I know there's a couple guys on this site who'd have done it for free. Dont ask me for names, I dont remember! They know who they are!
I see that Topps is cutting costs.......i will miss the little fluff from INN oh well........Its not like they are moving the $ from INN to new sculpts....... <_<
I'm pretty sure It's for purely fluff reasons. They can find easier ways to cut costs, such as offering sponsorship spaces on their website rather than shutting down sections of it.
Well if INN is closeing down, then I hope someone is hard at work on BattleTech novels, because I will go clinically insane if I do not find out what happened in the Possession Wars.

Except that dragdog has said it IS finacial and not fluff reasons.
runab0ut: unfortunately the link goes to the Indyclix booster pack advertisement.
Edit: anybody planning on doing a combined archive that could be downloaded? I'm been saving the Touring the Stars but I'm not sure how to easily combine the files and make things work without rewritting everything.
