I'm planning on playing more as soon as I have some boards at my home which can be used as playing tables. Those boards will be 4x4", so things will be a little bit different. And I really want to try out some house rules. So yes, I will continue playing. I will continue painting and modding. But at the moment tournament play doesn't see me very often, even though tournament goes well at the moment when it comes to numbers of people who are coming.

Mostly I'm just tired of the complaining. Have any of you noticed how the recent series of complaints nerfed two more SSw units? Both are LE's and niether one is all that special without the extra SE's they were given. Soon, they'll be recanting on many older pieces if they don't let them die gracefully in retirement.

That is perhaps the biggest problem with a monthly update on the FAQ's. After a while, new rule changes seem to be obligated even when there are no problems.

At least some of the other factions have not been FAQed to death. *looks carefully at his Stormhammers and hopes they don't blow up*

Several ways to play a game that's much better than the official version. Use StuManUSA's rules, or just play vintage Dark Age and forbid Artillery, VTOL's and Transports. You'll still have charge to deal with, but other cheese is pretty much ruled out.

i am actually getting pretty fed up with MW. it's not to say i hate WK or anything, but it's just becoming so repetitive and predictable. mostly, it's just because not only is the attendance not great in my area, but also the scenarios and units are just not exciting me anymore. nothing new, nothing fresh... oh why, oh why did the nostalgia have to wear off?!

Rubber_Ducky, seize the initiative! Home campaigns, house rules, customized terrain, whatever's your fancy! Limit the amount of artillery that's allowed during a game and make everyone field at least two IndustrialMechs, for example. That kind of crazy thing. It's not like the tournament prizes are the only reason for you to play, right?

For me the game is getting like the chicago bulls w/ jordan, pippen, and others. You get tired of the same thing again and again and again. I'm tired fo playing LI campaigns, and getting sick of pog warrior.

I have fun playing, haven't lost that yet, but I'm frustrated at the lack of competition most weeks, and my venue's attitude that MTG, and 40K are his bread and butter. So he has no reason to have any other outside venue supported events, or to keep the events on the same day from month to month.

I've been moving towards MK2.0. I find it more interesting, and more fun .... but I don't want to give up on the game.

Yeah, pretty much exactly the same, only different states, daemian. I'm 45 minutes from one venue, nearly an hour from one (according to Mapquest) I'm about to start going to from time to time to keep me at an even 2 tournaments a month. Thankfully, the first venue I go to I can participate in HTH events for, as I've seen one Arnis, PogWarrior armies twice, and never a tankdrop.

Honestly, I do not think i could ever quit, I WILL probably stop buying boosters Either befor, or after FP (i am going to see how many units i actually want...depending on that i may or may not buy some Boosters) And buy singles after to keep current, Besides that i do not really have to time to paint/assembel WH, or other good game out their figures O_o which is the sad thing.

I really wish I could, but I drive 30-45 minutes to play, and the people I play with have been unreceptive to those ideas.

I won't drive in unless I know I'll have someone there to play with.

Seriously, though, I hear where you're coming from. Me, I'm
getting tired of the fact that there are certain aspects of the
game that WK refuses to address. Oh, they'll address these
issues (artillery, tank drop) in MW 2.0, I'm sure. After all, it's
all about the money!

For the first time, I'm seriously considering finding some other
hobby. :ermm:

I have gone back to CBT and I am also thinking about Warhammer 40k.

WK seriously needs to address issues with its games.
(Since most of these have already been discussed I won't re-iterate what has already been said.)

P. S. - 1) Does anyone know of a good protective flat finish.
2) Which do you think I should get - a reproduction Mauser K98 or a real life version of the AWP from Counter-Strike? (This is for long range target shooting mind you.)

good matte finish? Krylon's works well, gives good protection, and if you spray it on light at a distance it won't get as glossy as other matte finishes do.

I can wait til the next set comes out, but if wk can't get it in their heads what Highlanders want then I WILL NOT BUY. And if they screw us over in the set after that, I will quit. I for one am sick and tired of saying to myself "they'll get it right in the next set". Oh Yeah. I'm also sick of the "I'm better than you 'cause I have inside info" attitude the employees have.
