Support unit? Deathspeaker Aerdon is a support Unit???? He is what the necromancer should have been!!!

Off of that train of thought, I just thought of a good way to use him. Towards the end of the game, summon and necromance some fast people, and move them to the objectives, and on your last turn, use Revenant to bring someone back to take control of an objective for you (or surge and get one, or contest one)!! Of course you could also use this towards the end, and send the unit off to an objective far from your opponent, and wala, it's claimed. At least, that's if I'm understanding the end phase right...

Deathspeaker Aeradon looks horrible. He's like what a Fanged Gunslinger would look like if he didn't use guns.

wow. aerodon is FAR MORE than i ever would have expected and im not complaining. the guy is loaded with more useful abilities than he knows what to do with, and in large games he will be getting actions every other turn at least.

Artillerists look like junk that I will never want, don't want Blackthorn now that shes not a Hero, and Deathspeeker Aeradon looks cool, but can lose the stupid hat. Out of all these, I only want Deathspeeker.

Gaah, Black Thorn sucks. And I thought we finally got a good female character in MK 2.0 (no offense to any women on the board).

And Aeradon is much worse. 200+ points as a support fig? He falls very quickly against the bound/long-range figures like Khan Rava.

I just thought some more, and after discovering Blackwyn is being made, I realized he must have the Bow attackt type. Otherwise only LEs could use Snow's Fuser Rifle, correct?

Except for when he goes ghosty... and then he just energy drains up. Besides, why wouldn't Deathspeaker field scads of cheapo figs to get in the way? This guy is the shizznit! I swore I would never field an army that invested this many points in one figure, but now...

Wha?? What are you talkin about Fred! They might get one good hit in and then looky looky ghostform! Deathspeaker- "Ow! that hurt! *turns invisible* ha! now you can't hit me. *Summons or Revenants some kewl fig back into play* Minion, Attack! * archer dies* I win again!!"

I like Black Thorn, I like her a lot!!!(Caldera is still my #1 lady, though)

high defense, parry, and counter attack= close combat death

True, I'd rather her have a close combat bonus than a subfaction, but she still pretty good. She's cheap enough to be able to slap a Paragon's shield, magestone shield, or Gaelshi Sunsword on her and still be under half your army. If I ever get one I'd use her quite a bit.


Deathspeaker is the ressurrection king. Every freaking revive ability in the game, however, I think is too much. I'd get rid of the Necromancy to lower the cost, but that's just me. In high point games, however, he will be a monster, but we are talking 500pts.+ atleast. Even still I'd rather have a Vithzerai for 1 pt. more.

The Khasmin Arties aren't that bad. The weak one migh tget some use. 3 damage and stormfire for 21pts. is pretty good IMHO.

deathspeaker has so many uses. so many. sick sick combo's in the making...

An army, Aerdon, Marrow, 3 * Whelp Skeletons, and a * Skeleton Archer. Powerful, Necro-Summoning-Reviving-Draining-Terrifying-Invisible-Hexing Crusader and his skeleton minions...
