Hey folds, better idea for Famine, instead of cloak of vipers try cloak of the martyr, it does not say you can't use that ability more than once!

I'll be honest, I did end up seeing more toughness than I expected.

I'm not a power gamer. I do lean towards the Elven Lords, but I actually just play things that look cool. If you look at my entire army, every piece looks hardcore as the overall member of the squad. That's why I love the High Elven Knight and Chroma so much: they just look so darn cool!

I'm also a huge fan of melee, another trend you can see in my army considering I only had WHL, Famine, and the High Elven Knight for range, and only used WHL mostly.

I felt really good about playing famine at 400 odd points. It definitely wasn't the most effecient use and I lost the horse one or two times in my games, losing some points. I could have put in three more sky dragon/scalesworn combos and a revenanter at least instead of famine, but it was just too fun to play.

I know what you meen..I too have played my Famine just for fun...altough I lost the game, He sure gave a headache to my opponent. But Famine is just hard to kill, not a killing machine like war...I cant wait to have all 4 avatar and play a conquest game with all of 'em.

Any idea of the best relic to use with each of 'em ? I'm thinking of blade of dominance for war, since his invulnerability will help again ranged attack, phoenix lance on famine..to make him even more hard to get rid off...

If I had more than one avatar in play, I may have played the Phoenix lance on Pestilence, that double venom is something most players would rather get rid of, so it would be even more annoying on him.

The BoD on any of them seems like it would just plain be a bad idea. You're only going to be Dominating figures under 175, and I can almost gurantee you'll be seeing figures worth more than that in every conquest army, at least one.

I think the Galeshi sunsword or Blade of Shadows(one of my new favorites) would be pretty good on War or Famine, depending on what you want on a figure(plus 2 attack or vampirism). Does Vampirism stack? Because I'd totally put in on Famine then to make his vampirism worthwhile.

My thoughts are to make those avatars that don't have ghostform invisible through their relics.

oh yes vamperism does stack and the blade also has another interesting side effect, that is it allows an avatar wielding it to dismount since he no longer has the DR subfaction and thus he can dismount the horse. How the loss of the blade will effect mount and rider is interesting....

WHOA, yeah, I totally did not see that side effect...it may not be the best to do that not that I think about that...
