We get a new version called Creature and various animals like a Giant Octopus, Megalodon (big shark), Blue Whale, etc. These would have no Team Affiliation and could be played as regular Drops or played by exhausting characters with a Summon keyword like...

Summon: 6 (think Willpower-esque)
Activate, discard a Plot Twist from your hand >>> Get a Plot Twist from your KO pile.


Then we could also get a Beast Boy or Animal Man with something like...

Team: Teen Titans
2 Drop
2/2
Pay 3 Endurance, return Beast Boy to your hand >>> search your deck for a character card with the version Creature and a cost less than the number of Resources you control. Put the chosen card in play, then discard a card from your hand. Use this Power only during the Build Phase.

Does anyone care if we don't get a new mechanic and UDE just sticks with Reservist and leader since the Avengers and the JLA both operated with a revolving door of Characters

While Change is good it would help R&D by giving them more time to focus on the teams not the mechanic.

I highly doubt that we won't see atleast one new mechanic/rule/etc. in Justice League.

DC does get the short end of the stick. But they do have at least 2 tier 1 decks Teen Titans and GLEE. But Marvel does get at least 2-3 teams in each set that is at least playable.

I am stunned that it's October and we still know nothing about this 'major' new mechanic. You think they'd give us a little time to get used to it for the pre-release (four weeks away as of today).

Where did you read that there would be a 'major' new mechanic? Just curious...

Every Set since DC Origins has had a major mechanic

DOR: Loyalty
MSM:Evasion
DSM: Cosmic/Invulnerability
MMK: Concealed
DGL: Willpower
MAV: Leader/Reservist

So There might me a new mechanic or the will just leave us with these gems of Mechanic

PS: For the sake of Murphy's Law (What ever can go wrong will go wrong) it is October 1. The Sneak Previews For JLA are in 4 weeks and we still have no previewed cards or a mechanic but any day now......

Well I know it isnt much but there is one "confirmed" teen titans legacy card. Its not on any site but if you follow the pattern then you can see that it is coming. Im talking bout a Dick Grayson <> Robin for everybodys favorite sidekicks. In DOR, we got donna troy <> wondergirl. In DSM we got Wally West <> Kid Flash, and Roy Harper <> Speedy. In DGL, we got Garth <> Aqualad. They are just releasing the origional team so it only makes sense to release an "old school" robin.

Dick Grayson<>Robin will certainly be made for Titans eventually, but it's not a given. Legacy choices are pretty crazy at times.

Also, apparently, the new 'mechanic' in JLA might be a full-blown rules change. We'll see though.
