there is a squad build you can make with NO rares that is highly competative and usually very reliable, it is a KO deck that teams up with Syndicate basicly the idea is team attack with blue eagle and others, on turn five you can move someone with iniertia and then KO there big guy behind them with the goblin and then if you find yourself havin trouble pitching cards you can always sadistic choice yourself so that helps plus it runs avalon and slaughter swamp, and then the team up is mind amplification device. As far as i know I am the only one who has this build, took it up against a Doom Gang draw and burn, and even when that was working at its peak they couldnt make me keep cards in my hands, then to answer rush decks like Glee and mirror squad matches there Avengers Dissasembled to auto stun two or more of there people.

I put together my faces deck for around $25. I mean SURE Squadron gets the glory, but Faces is so much more FUN to play, and I think that's what matters most. I mean maybe it's just me but I get a sick little thrill seeing a D-list villain like the Beetle smack around Green Lanterns or Dr Doom.

Also playing Faces allows you to use one of the greatest characters of all time..... SHOCKER!

Aside from Squadron, with a budget of ~$45, what's another good deck that can be made? Would Injustice Gang and maybe GL (aside from using Oa and Sinestro) make the budget?

Hmm I built Squadron for 5 dollars total. (Thank to hobby league) Other cheap decks are Uhh Child Lock. I requires like singletons of Expensive Cards. Wait it has Flamethrower. Hmm

See this is why everyoune hate Squad. Its not that you randomly do close to 20 damage on the first turn. Its that you built the deck buy tradeing a Savage Beatdown. New Rule Ape X is a 50 dollar rare.

On the DC side, the Injustice Gang is a good cheap deck to play. Lex luthor, joker, scarecrow are all uncommons, commons. Power Siphon is the only rare you need, and theyre only about $2 bucks a piece.

GLock is pretty cheep. The rares are all high drops. The only expensive ones are the 2 Sinestro's

Ohh thats Joke. See theirs a guy at my Store who thinks Squad isnt fair because everyon can play it. He thinks all Golded Age decks should Cost 250 and up. With the cheapest deck always being the worst.

Ohh another deck thats cheaper than most is Anti Green Lantern. Savage beat downs are completly redundant in the deck. Williworld is great but again redundant leaveing Bad Press as the only rare you have to have. Its cheap also.

problem with AGL is that collecting the army characters can be costy and time consuming, especially when a army deck is doing well

take that back you dont need avengers dissasembled a better one is political pressure, which is gonna become huge again im willin to bet because of all the rush, multi and under droping deck thiemes out there such as AGL,TTG, and New school to name only afew

that tand the fact that AGL's are gong for prety high concerning that they are not rares, probly better off buying packs

That's great for GA environments but once SA comes around you lose all those great Silver Bullet cards and Avenger's disassembled becomes much more important. You also get to see all those 2nd tier silver bullet cards in competitive decks.
