Well, it's been made painfully obvious to me that my Avengers deck can no longer cut it, so I'm in the market for a new, inexpensive deck that performs well. Anyone have ideas?

well....as much as hate it, squadron is about as cheap if not cheaper then avengers

Edit: ive also had some great success with EE resource rush. and i hear stuff about the JLI 4 under deck supposed to be good, im pretty sure child lock isnt to expensive and the same goes for G'Lock

Avengers can cut it. Which Avengers are you running. I just made 2nd at a tourny saturday w/ my Avengers deck w/ no Mansions and the tourny scene is highly competetive. Squad decks, Faces of Evil, Anti Matter Rush, MKKO, Dooms Gang, JLA/JLI, etc.

Go, go Squadron Supreme! Excluding Flamethrower, which is totally optional, the only Squadron Supreme rares you need are Rocket Central, Other-Earth, and AIDA. All very cheap, plus you don't even need to run 4x of any of them!

Is Rocket Central needed. The ones I've seen didnt run locations because it seemed to slow up the decks where reservist could be placed in the resource row etc..

they usually run 1-2 because its a great card if you get it but in no way is needed

Squadron requires two rares (at most): two copies of other-earth. Rocket Central is worth running at least a copy. Free, continous +2 ATK is nothing to scoff at. AIDA is only needed if you fear Titans and Avengers.

Glock has expensive rares in it: Sinestro,GLoK and Breaking ground (both are around $10 and either can be only a "1 of" card). Otherwise its the uncommons that'll do ya in (TRHC, MoH, and LGL are all around $1-3 per card).
Granted its no New School wallet crushing cost, but for low budget its hard to make Glock.

ah yeah i totally spaced on the sinestro and breaking ground in that deck, but around our area we shouldnt have much a problem getting those thanks to the hobby league ones, im pretty sure everyone down at shanes has atleast 1 of each

Yea well, share the love. Theres only two people who own EA Sinestro's and Breaking grounds up at the comic stop and thats Nate and Derek. I suck too much to win any of the rare EA's (well, that and Jamie's magic touch that makes my deck totally crap out on me, not too mention michelle with her god draws).

Listen to what everyone is saying, Squadron is a good cheap deck to make and in a pnch, you only need Other Earth.

Avengers is still a good deck but yeah SS is another cheap one to build. MoE isn't too expensive either as long as you have some birthing chambers.

I believe Squadron is the cheapest deck to date. It is the only tier one deck where some builds do not even run a single rare. Avengers would be second minus the 3 mansions.

You can run it just as good without the SB so you can still make it really cheaply

Titans is pretty cheap...

The only rares are Garth...Terra......Savage......Argus...........Null Time Zone is optional................
