So yes. Checkmate is an auto-loss for Glock assuming there is an Asmo involved.
Didn't the TAWC build run Bizarro / Bizarroworld, too? GG. Breaking Ground can take it out I suppose, but that means Kyle has to fetch it instead of something else (Mitt, Rain, etc.) necessary for long-term survival. But Asmodeus = scoop.
Asmodeus is primarily there for Glock. He has a secondary (very secondary) utility against X-Statix, but he's basically there for Glock. I don't know if I'd bother running Asmodeus in a tournament pre-July 1st, but post-banning people may well suddenly start playing Glock again.
Hello, I just starting playing Glock recently, and I was wondering, how many Willworlds do they play? I only have 3 so if they play 4, then what should I put it for the substitute?
Glock is ok agasint decks running Asmodeus. You should have Rot Lop Fan, Remoni Notra, and a NEEOS so you can wreck Ahmadd and Merlyn with triggered KO effects. Run at least 2 Breaking Ground, and the 3 locations to help you dig. Major Disaster is a must now as well.
I ran glock at the Pc, and the reason most glock players didn't do good is because it was expected and all of the good players tested against it and knew what to do to beat it, I faced:
- Checkmate with Bizzaro world/ Phantom Zone
- Phantom Zone all over the place
- Asmodeous
- Random Captian Marvel I didn't expect in the Underworld/Villians United deck
- Jester
- Squad running 4 Other Earths
Long story short people were ready for it, but glock is a powerhouse against anything aggro and most decks, but it easily beaten with tech
(except for that random guy who did great with glock)
- I was watching that guy and he was getting some great matchups and his decklist is almost the same as everyone elses, but he didn't even run sinestro
How does GLOCK do against Merlyn? Leech seems to be the only answer. Besides, Checkmate can just drop Fatality at 4, take out Leech and Light, then drop Merlyn at 5 to snipe out Malvolio. With Sensei, they take out Sinestro at 6 and Guy at 7. It's over by then. Then add in Bizarro World with State of the Union to protect it..and GLOCK seems in trouble. Where's GLOCK out here?
worst case scenario, we go back to GLEE. remember how much fun that was at PC Indy last year? Go aggro with massive combat pumps and just go toe-to-toe with Checkmate. Although, then it's not really GLock, is it? :ermm:
4 dop Fatality isn't as game breaking as it sounds, if the glock player has evens just use rain of acorns and def pums on 5, and its alot easier if you run tomar tu
