Personally, I don't think that will matter too much. If I were to guess, I would say that two distinct new archetypes will start their distinguished careers in the middle of Ohio.
It depends. Are we talking new decktypes, or are we talking competitive new decktypes? Revenge Squad is a decktype, but nobody plays it because Revenge Squad sucks. Likewise, I think at least one major decktype from HoG has gotten a lot of hype but really just sucks hardcore.

I guess my original question was about the decks that will be played at the PC... and not all of them will turn out to be competitive.
Heralds WILL have an impact on the PC. How much? Dunno. Quite a few decks can be improved upon, some even radically "changed" into a "new decktype" just with the same basics. I'm looking at you common enemy! Either way, I hope it will be entertaining! ^_^

True enough.
Anyway, in that case I'll say probably about twenty percent "new" decks (as opposed to "Good Guys with a Reality Gem in it" or similar). The new decktypes that come out of Heralds aren't that earthshaking - Doom blitz and Heralds stall will both probably make a showing, but Kree Press is mostly crap in Golden Age and the Inhumans are just mediocre.
In any case, though, the Golden Age metagame is all about finding the best broken combo-loop deck that beats Titans and High Voltage. I haven't bothered looking, but I know of at least two loops. This is part of the reason I'm not bothering with PCLA - Golden Age is ###.
Now for you, I will give a refund if I am wrong. I bet you will admit that it was pretty sweet when it's all over. I say three new competitive archetypes and a few more with fringe potential. Will you take the Under on that?

I know...EXACTLY what you mean...something needs to stop those two decks. I would suggest cards that make the other decks more powerful but that would bring a power creep and it would be like YGO, clearing the board every turn. Which we don't need. The banned cards need to be remade, but with less power. Just enough that it spreads the power around, making more decks viable. All overload needs is an additional cost like exhausting a character, and ARB could do with and activate ability. And i know everyone will be against it but by reprinting these cards, TT and HV loose power considerably. And I KNOW there fun decks, but if they can do that it will usher in a new area of the Metagame. One where many more decks are playable on a higher level.

Uh, no. I don't like Golden. It's twinkish and uninspiring. For those who do like it, there's PCLA, and that's fine and good for them.

Two new competitive archetypes that are primarily Heralds - meaning more than two appearances in the 7-3 and up range on day 1. I don't think there'll be more than that. You're going to see new archetypes that only achieve perfection upon the introduction of one or two Heralds cards, but they're still going to be dependent upon broken, open-ended cards like Cosmic Radiation and Devil's Due, so they're not really "new" per se.
