Originally posted by Gentlegamer This does make one wonder about the discrepancies between the WK figure gallery and the actual figures. How many figures are wrong, but never corrected by errata?
The Matt Murdock LE from Critical Mass. I'm still bitter about this one because they tried to say that the one that was originally posted was an "older version" of the dial. Ironically enough, the LE costs the same point, but is lacking a range and the Spider-Man team ability (which would have made him playable and worth his points). As it is now, he's a Level 5 dust collector.
I mean I understand why they wouldn't come out and say it was just a misprint, because I'm guessing that all the LEs are printed at the same time, meaning there won't be any that are printed correctly. At that point it's just easier to say, "Oh, we meant to print it that way," and just have it be unplayable. It just annoys me that it happened with such a "popular" character. You'd think they'd be more careful.
Trades: WITH WoL H/W, also looking for Mandarin Rings, DoFP Rares & Nimrod

Wow, I never knew about that one. That is a pretty bad "misprint."
Originally posted by Yong as unreasonable as it sounds, i wish wizkids would have some kind of exchange program or just ban the erroneous pieces from tournament play altogether.
How is that unreasonable?
In my opinion they messed this up royally.
There was a similar case with a German TCG I play at the moment. It's first expansion was about to come out, but after the print it became clear that the cards were of poor quality (the borders slightly torn).
So they decided to throw the whole run away and print it again.
Sure, it cost them and the fans had to wait longer. But in my opinion it was the only thing to do.
Though the figs from Universe aren't physically damaged, it is still poor quality.
The error figures are only in the very first print run, and have been corrected for all subsequent print runs. Hopefully, the number of people actually affected will be very small, but we thought it better to address it than not.
Thanks for addressing the issue...it is so much more honorable than sweeping it under the rug and hoping nobody notices.
...And don't even get me started on the LE Matt Murdock. I was so disappointed after I received the figure in a trade that he had no range or Spider-Man team ability.

Always, always admit and address mistakes. It helps a lot.
We HeroClix veterans will just have to explain to newcomers that some of their new Universe figures may have printing errors if they were from the first production run. We have the errata sheet to give them, so it shouldn't be such a big deal. Thank you.
By the way, my offer still stands to be a volunteer assistant!

You're welcome.
And to address some rumors: Firelord wasn't a production error, he was intended to be that way. Warden is correct, we switched production facilities around the time that Dark Riders was being produced, and as always there is a timeframe in which things will have to settle down. Unfortunately, it seems there is a disproportionate number of errors with their first two tries, but it seems like everything is going to be straightened out moving forward, as much as possible anyway.
Actually, re: Firelord, I believe the theory was that at one point RCE was to work like ranged B/C/F, which would have made Firelord play much differently. Of course, true or not, it's ancient history now.

any chance we could trade in the misprints for the second-run, corrected figures? it's not like it'd be too costly. for the most part, you just have to replace the dial, not the figure or the base...
No kidding! It really takes away from the selling point of everything being on the dial if you can't even trust it! That would be a nice way to renew some faith.
Thank you for answering these points BrotherMagneto.
I was upset when I saw the errata list as the only two figures I wanted were on it!
A Ninja so I can play him with my LE Electra, and Expert Cap so I can get one with a turnable base.
I have just done your survey and I do think that poor quality control (not just Galactus issues) does reduce your public image a lot. Well done on the new starter set - the figures are great (shame about the map)
