I finally read 2-5 of the series, and I really loved it, as a fan of the Pre-Zero-Hour Legion especially. Not that I didn't mind a thing here or here.
1) What's up with Polar Boy being called a Sub? He was a full member for quite a while before Zero Hour.
2) Not a problem, but who is Earth Man and the Justice League? Have they appeared before?
3) Drake blowing a containment suit has never been an issue before, but people acted like it almost killed him.
4) Didn't really like the new Adult Legion costumes, but I suppose they helped differentiate between versions.
5) I didn't care for the Time Trapper reveal, not the reason for it. Didn't really fit.
DOn't get me wrong, mostly I loved it.
1- That was just Wildfire being Wildfire (a #@$% in other words). Still calling PB a sub years after he was a full Legionnaire.
2- As darius_dax1 said, They were in the Action Comics Superman Legion stories a short while ago. The JSA/JLA Lightning Saga-The Action Comics Issues-Legion of Three Worlds basically all flow together as one larger story.
3-Something seems to have changed there. In The Lightning Saga there were some mentions of his "containment suite" actually being the remains of Red Tornado...... never quite understood that.
The part that made me laugh the most was when Chuck and Luornu show up. From the dialog Luornu has had her "Duplicate Damsel" powers for a while now. And rather than inform the Legion what do they do? Run off to "the backbeaches of Ventura" for a 3rd honeymoon. Chuck and Luornu-The Perv Legionaires!

you as a Legion fan. can you say that EVERY Legion member ever was in this story?
I never was a Super Legion fan, I love Superboy and Krypto of course and is nice to see a team for him, but I will like to have only this story and say. "Here I have ALL the Legion members draw by Perez, with Lof3W I have all I need of the Legion"

2) To fill it in a little bit more, you may know Earth Man better by his previous ID, Absorbancy Boy.
3) I think the only one who was concerned was Dawnstar, which is probably appropriate that she would show some concern. Even if she knows he should be fine deep inside, it's probably still somewhat traumatic for her. Kinda like in Torchwood, where Jack Harkness is killed all the time, but his lover still acts concerned.
4) The new designs are by Gary Frank from the Action Comics storyline.

Before being Absorbancy Boy, he was Depends Undergarment Man. Tho, in his earlier years, he was Huggies Lad. That was when he lost his sister, AKA Pampers Lass. She died of overflow.
I spotted the library I work in was ordering Legion of Three Worlds back in September. I was top of the list to request it.
This week it finally arrived.
Absolutely awesome!
I've never really been a big Legion fan, the names put me off too much. But that was just cool. And the one character I've really been growing to love, Polar Boy, got one of the best moments when he goes out to face Prime, knowing he's totally outclassed, but determined to give the others time. Totally brilliant.
How's this for a special power when we (hopefully very soon) get a Polar Boy clix? Polar Boy receives a +1 bonus to AV per full 100 points of the target's points cost. He always seems to be taking on guys who out power him...
I'll have to pick that up!
I've been a Legion fan since the 60's and always loved the "Subs," which Polar Boy started!
The conflict between him and Prime sounds an awful lot like the battle between a young Bobby Drake and Magneto!
Stan lee was the master of the "underdog trying against all odds" as he showed brilliantly in the early years, especially with the Thing against Hulk (and others) and most brilliantly with Daredevil (in his brand new red costume!) against the Sub-Mariner!
I think being a WW2 vet he was possibly inspired by the RAF and the Battle of Britain - or maybe it was David and Goliath?

I don't know about that "Thing Vs Hulk" comment. I mean, they do come close in muscle power. The real diff is that the Hulk doesn't have need to hold back like Ben does.
Now, Captain America Vs The Hulk was more in the vein of David and Goliath.
