I only know a little bit about the Legion but the issue had a really big feel to it with special events happening and a nice quick setup on how things will happen. Really liked it. Can't wait for 2nd issue.
EVERY PAGE , every panel of this book is FANTASTIC. And the end of the book is so great, so surprising, so heroic. WOW.
I mean look how perfect this book is:
ALL you need to know to enjoy this book IS in the book! :
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The Legion origen, Superboy Prime origin and motivation, all that happen before.
Even the Superman origin as a plus.
Even the powers, Names and Planets of EACH Legionary staring in the book!
You can enjoy this story without be confused about anything (Not like the dumb, ugly, boring, confusing Final -cof- Crisis cof-)
I don't know almost ANYTHING about the Legion and this book make me love them.
you see how Barry was back in Final Crisis? : running away.
You know how is the right way to introduce somebody in a awesome way? (and I say this before several times).
A great introduction of a character must be like: "It can't be!" OMG! "Is HIM!"
and that is EXACTLY THE way they present lots of things in this story! First: the Man who first was saved by the Legion, after that almost EVERY page end with people saying "This can't be" or things like that, that make you can't wait for the NEXT PAGE.
Also: did you see how amazing they conect Superboy Prime to the Legion of Super Villains in a faster and GREAT way? : Simple Brilliant.
THIS is the way to make a good Comic Book in a awesome way.
Carlos, you're right. It was a GREAT issue. I do like Final Crisis though as well, but I was very surprised about this book. The end was just great, and it helps make the whole storyline make sense.
I also have a very soft spot for SuperboyMan-Prime, so there was some very good stuff regarding him, especially what the "plan" to take care of him is!
Overall, the book was well-paced, and the art is so clean, exactly the way it should be. I just wish that when Perez was doing the original Crisis that each issue should have been so crystal-clear and white. That's not his fault, it was just the printing technology that hadn't progressed yet.
5 stars out of 5 stars, and I'm not even a huge Legion fan!
"But when I think about Jason...and what I would endure to have him back..."
-Bruce Wayne, Superman/Batman # 12, Sept. 2004
Of all the Final Crisis tie-ins, I was least impressed by this book. Don't know if I'm picking up the next one.
what Final Crisis Tie-in? for me THIS is Final Crisis!

Awesome surprising end! About Superboy Prime: I REALLY like it how he looks in Infinite Crisis, specially in the end, and he he looks JUST LIKE THAT! I don't like him very much with the Black Costume and as "adult" that we saw in Countdown.
and about the Original Crisis, well, for me, is a sentimental thing that could never get better of what it was, and will be always perfect in the way it is.
I'm not trying to spoil anyone else's enjoyment of this comic. If you like it, you like it. My feelings exactly echo the BoyBlunder's:

I'm not saying it was a hideous comic, but it just wasn't as good as Requiem, Rogue's Revenge #1, or Revelations #1. Those comics set a pretty high bar, which I don't feel Legion of 3 Worlds met.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
