since the above names are must makes if you even want to sell 1 set, then you can't include any x-men. Why would we want 1 or 2 of the 5-10 x-men 2099? And as for villains, villains invented solely for re-hashed heroes to fight aren't exactly interesting.

Sheesh. Talk about another fiasco. We'll see how well it sells with the collectors when it becomes available. I know right off the bat I won't waste money on "Invincible" and depending on the character selection AND the sculpts, I might pass on this one.

Now, if they do put the second place one out, much like "Green Lantern Corps" (which, if you noticed, has had a lot more buzz about it compared to "Invincible" hmm.) and BPRD took second, I'd be happy.

Heck, I'd be happy with any of the others as another set.

I'm very happy about the selection. I'd like to see Mutant 2099 in this set, so in the future i can make a league of losers theme team. I can't wait to see which charactures they pick for the set.

The pre-vote skewed the vote. No surprise there. I won't be buying this collectors' set - though I do like the Spidey 2099 clix from FF.

Well, I'm excited to see the 2099 set being made. I really like the whole "alternate reality / future story" kind of thing.

New Doom? Yes please. He should definitely be awesome.

What I'm more excited about though is a Punisher 2099. I've seen some customs on ebay and thought that he would make a great fig for a while now. Also, with the current Punisher being retired soon, a new one would be perfect timing. And, having read the entire series, I think the character has a lot of flexibility if they do their research on him. In particular, I really like his "variable density" nightstick. That could be represented in a few ways. Or maybe he could be a double base fig, like somebody else had mentioned. Maybe the Ghost Rider would be a double base as well?

Anyways, people are asking how the figures would be different from the "standard" figs that we have now. But, having read more than my share of 2099 books, I really think that the characters can be quite interesting and unique, IF the proper effort is put into designing them.

Hey give some love for 2099, Doom better be, Hulk its been a while we need a new hulk (since before long after retirments we wont be able to use any of them lol), Punisher, Ghost rider, and the one peice i really want to have VENOM 2099, ya got the spidey so ya need the venom, cant wait for Sinister for a New Venom lol
