CAPTAIN AMERICA'S BEEEOTCH. (Streets of Poison rocked)
Wolvie's face would've been all black with fangs, can anyone guess what issues I'm talkin' about? Hint: he lays a think kiss on Jean on the splash page.
Ah, I forgot pouches. Tons of pouches. Every belt would have atleast a dozen pouches... and there'd be belts everywhere, going every which-way on every character.
It didn't have to make sense, it was the late 80's, early 90's!
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."

Oh! We'd also have Evil Ernie, Lady Death (complete with hugely top heavy sculpt.. we're talking Denise Milani top heavy.. look her up..) and all the reast of the original Chaos Comics crew..
We'd be getting one Indy set a year, with Judge Dredd and Chaos Comics characters in every set.
Also, ALL characters from the Secret Wars would have been made within the first 2-3 Marvel sets. Oh, and all versions of Black Cat would have the Spider-Man TA (and we would've gotten more than just one REV+LE).
And we definitely would've gotten a Cosmic Spidey by now.....

Little known fact about Shuma Gorath. He was created to be Cthulhu's stunt double.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
Well, if I had been the Brand Manager back in the day, starting in say 1977 when I was approaching the age of 5, here's how Heroclix would have shaken out:
Summer 1977 Expansion: Superfriends
Summer 1977 Starter Set: Charlie's Angels!!!
Fall 1977 Colossal: King Kong
Winter 1977 Expansion: Star Wars (lots of generic soldiers obviously)
Spring 1978 Expansion: Micronauts
Summer 1978 Expansion: Scooby-Doo (lots of monsters to use)
Summer 1978 Starter Set: The Brown Hornet (Fat Albert)
Winter 1978 Expansion: Marvel Comics Monsters
Spring 1979 Expansion: Superman: The Movie
Spring 1979 Collector's Set: Dawn of the Dead
Summer 1979 Expansion: Battlestar Galactica
Summer 1979 Starter Set: Moonraker (James Bond)
Fall 1979 Collector's Set: Mad Max
Winter 1979 Expansion: Star Trek: The Motion Picture
etc.
1984 and 1985 would be brutal to get through with all the Secret Wars, Crisis on Infinite Earths, GI Joe, Transformers, and all the other good stuff.
I just wish Wizkids had been this liberal about licenses in 2002 with the real beginning of Heroclix, because I'd still love to be able to pit zombies against King Kong against the Terminator against Subzero against Superman against Wolverine against Scrappy Doo. Really, I would!

We would have seen an Amalgam action set. Cause Marvel and DC would get along well enough for the dollar sings like that.
I still say we need a Dark Claw figure.
Hear, hear... Although it will most likely never happen, you got my full support here! But even in the 90s it would have been hard to release Amalgam Heroclix after the event was finished!!!
As far as I'm concerned, my time/generation of comics is still running. But then I also tend to have a much longer view of things than others....
My comic reading began in eanest in June of 1981 with Uncanny X-men #146 (favorite character? Wolverine). As the years progressed and my allowance (& then income) grew my list of regular titles expanded - a few X books, Batman, Avengers, Justice League/Society, some Spiderman, G.I. Joe etc etc etc..... But the core has always X-men, Batman, & (in "recent" years) JSA.
On average I read about 15 tiles per month + misc issues & have for many years. Every now & then there's a surge - as with Anhillation - but then it'll settle back down to the 15 titles +/- per month.
So as far as clix is concerned? They already fairly represent my reading habits. I get a new version of Batman & Wolverine often enough.
Yes, yes he was. But he WAS in a video game. We need him and Blackheart and I believe we'll have the entire Marvel vs. Capcom roster. I so love that game...
I wonder what type of bribes Seth takes. Credit or debit...
Wait - when did we get Guile, Ryu, and Co.?

• The four core characters in each expansion would've been Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thing... because X-Men was a bi-monthly comic and the ONLY X-related comic on the stands. God, those were the days. Wolverine was "one of those new X-Men" and there was no Elektra.
• She-Hulk (in a torn white tanktop) and Dazzler would've shown up in the second or third expansions, along with Machine Man, Nova, Devil Dinosaur and Spider-Woman.
• Due to licensing issues, we'd probably have ROM by now.
• Defenders and/or Invaders would get their own expansion.
• We probably would've gotten all of the Eternals by now. Hell, we probably would've gotten the entire Marvel Universe by now (thinking of the vacuum created by the absence of characters in the X-Universe).
• By the 7th or 8th expansion I think we'd have all of the new X-Men (up to Kitty Pryde) and original five New Mutants, but still no Gambit, Cable, Psylocke, etc.
• We'd have to rely on advertisements to know who was coming in future expansions, because there WAS NO INTERNET.
