Unfortunately monetary obligations (My Wedding, Purchasing of a House) prevent me from attending this year. It will be the first WWC that I haven't gone to in about 10 years. I'm okay with this, though. I'm gaining far more than I'm losing. Will be looking for someone to get me an AZBats, though, unless someone knows if the figure will be available at gencon this year. If that's the case, I'll have the guy doing my shopping at that con pick me up one of those, too!

He should be at GenCon.

Awesome. My judge at my regular venue has already volunteered to pick me up a Sinestro Corps Anti-Monitor. I'll just tack on whatever else is needed to get the Az-Bats too! Is it spend $50? $100?

It's a $50 spend to get the AzBats. Technically, it might be HC only, but between the SCAM, regular AM, FF Starter, and SI boosters... that shouldn't be an issue.
I know on Sunday at LA, I bought Oshi and Tsuro at the WK booth and got an AzBats. And man, I traded the extras away way too cheaply considering what they're going for lately.

The qualifying event on Friday usually starts at 1 PM?
That's correct. Per Norm, it's to allow people who get stuck in line to be able to make it up to the tourney hall w/ enough time to sign up. BTW, be prepared for a SNAFU @ the VIP check-in line on Friday. I had to stand in 1 line for my goodie bag then a 2nd line for my badge. Total time standing in line: approx 1 hr, 15 minutes (from 11:00 AM-12:15 PM).

Chicago is a bit different than Philly. At WWC there is a preview night on Thursday for people with advance weekend passes. So there might be a good number of folks that already have their badges come Friday morning. Advance ticket holders can also get into the con an hour earlier than everyone else on Fri, Sat, Sun. Also the start time for Friday is 10 am (vs noon at WWE). From the Wiz World Chicgo site...
Ok so I got a weekend pass, the $50 one. I have it right now. I want to be able to show up Friday, get into the hotel, get into the con center, and be able to sign up for the qualifying event. I live about an hour and half away from chicago, maybe less depending how fast I drive, probably less actually. Any tips on what time I should get to the con center?

Check in for the hotel probly isn't until the 2-4 time frame so you'll probably have to check in later. You should be able to pick up your goody back at any time, so no rush there. About the only thing you have to worry about is getting to the qualifying event sign up and that depends on when WK starts the event (Note to WK: If you're reading this, how about a schedule?).
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
Yea a schedule would be nice haha I'm freaking out now. That's the main reason I want to go, well I'll have fun either way, but I'd really like to try and qualify for the tourney. It's me and either 2 or 3 other guys and one of them doesn't get off work until noon. It would be nice to know if I need to leave before them and they catch south shore to meet me there and then we ride back together. It would be nice to know that a couple weeks in advance.
As a local, I should hope I will be there. A friend and I are going on Friday and I am going Saturday. I intend to play in at least one of the tourny's for the anti-monitor. I look forward to seeing Superfro again, but will miss both darius and icedragon sorry you guys cannot be there!
