I look at these two figures and between them and the two Starman/Star Boy figures, I'm concerned. All I wanted was a Max Lord for my JLI/Checkmate team, a Starman for my Legion/JSA, and a Magog for my JSA. I'm getting those, so I'm happy.
Now I can understand the Generic/Non-generic thing they've done (and probably will still do). But now I'm getting multiple figures of a non-generic when one could do just fine. So if the slots given to the second versions of Max, Magog and Thom mean no slots for Superman related characters like The Galactic Golem, Terra-Man, Prankster, Titano, the Kryptonian versions of Nightwing & Flamebird and so on... I'll be really disappointed.
The biggest problem I have with this is that both Maxwell Lords are EXPERIENCED. I really don't mind the modern approach to R/E/V, but whoever heard of E/E?!?!? I mean, if one if Blackest Night and the other is Brightest Day, then there is a chronology. So, we should have seen E/V or R/E of these two figs. The misuse of this core game concept is irritating.
