With unnatural speed, a being that looked like the Greek god Pan and a huge mountain lion leapt away from Iron Man and up the hill to threaten Ant-Man. Hank had to wonder briefly what had prompted the belligerence on the part of the denizens of Artemis' forest. If this being really claimed to be Pan, then the Avengers were possibly in the midst of pantheon-wide conflict. They would have to tread carefully - and yet fight to survive.
Hawkeye noticed that his wife was struggling to defeat a troll-like being, so he leapt down the hill and across the battlefield. Just as he was about to offer some assistance, Sersi dispatched the rock troll with a powerful strike. Hawkeye ended up near a female being that looked like a dryad or faerie. She was beautiful, but dangerously so, like a tiger could be. He fell into a defensive stance.
Meanwhile, the Wasp knocked out another troll, and Tigra and Vision advanced rapidly through the forest. The Avengers needed to find the Rod of Asclepius without delay.

After his powerful knockout blow against the Minotaur, Wonder Man had lost sight of the Avengers' remaining adversaries. He glanced over to the Scarlet Witch. Her beauty, strong will, and desire to aid her teammates fueled a flash of emottion in Wonder Man.
She said, "Let's get up there and see what Hawkeye was talking about. He mentioned some sort of cave opening."
Wonder Man nodded and grabbed Wanda as gently as he could. They flew together up the hill toward a rocky outcropping. A wisp of smoke of gases was rising from a small fissure in the stones.
Meanwhile, Ant-Man continued to flit about his opponents. The ants he had summoned continued to confound both the huge mountain lion and the being that looked like Pan.
- ('free') Hawkeye continues to Put Away the Bow, thereby possessing Conbat Reflexes instead of ES/D and CCE instead of RCE.

Wonder Man noted the steam and smoke rising up through cracks in the hilltop. As soon as he placed Wanda on the ground next to him, he utilized his awesome ionic strength to tear at eh stones, creating an aperture easily large enough for a person to fit through.
"Hey, team," Wonder Man called, "it looks like this is a full-fledged tunnel." Instead of pitch blackness at its bottom, he thought he perceived a faint reddish glow. 'I hope that's not lava,' he thought to himself, 'like this is a volcano... This is supposed to be ancient Greece, isn't it?...'
Seizing the impulse, Ant-Man almost suprised himself by shouting, "Go, Simon! Head down there!"
Across the glen, Hawkeye and the Wasp looked up toward the hilltop. "I'm going with Bobbi," Hawkeye called. The Wasp did not hesitate, either, and
flew up to Hank, as did Iron Man, whose boot jets roared as he flew past the mountain lion.
As if the team knew as a unit how important it was that they hurry to aid Khonshu, the Avengers decided to proceed rapidly through this forest - even though it meant splitting up.

Yep, you have understood correctly. Simon (or someone else with Superstrength) must remain adjacent to the boulder in order to keep the tunnel open. If you decide to send him elsewhere that's fine, but then anyone on the other side of the tunnel will be trapped and need to find an alternative way out.
On any of these maps, unless otherwise specified (as in the case of the tunnel entrance closing above), the Avengers can freely retreat from a map by leaving the edge of their starting area and re-emerging on the previous map they visited at the same position they left from. If there are no enemies on the map, then they can leave the map from any point for a single complete move action.
Editor's Turn 8x
At last, after a steep climb further up Mount Olympus the Avengers reached the crossroads that Artemis had spoken of. The plateau known as "the agora" was the neutral ground between the personal demesnes of the godly pantheon, where the common souls could meet and mix before returning to their patron deities at the end of the day with new tales to entertain them with.
Alas, the civil war had done it's grisly work on the agora as well. Forces loyal to Pluto had been carried up from the Infernal realms to lay waste to this bustling celestial city. All around the citizens of Olympus hurried to put out small fires or fled from snarling monsters set loose upon them.
"This is not a war you can end, heroes" came the soft voice of the moon-goddess whispered directly into the heroes minds. "Remember your mission. To the west lies the grove of Venus, to the east you will find Poseidon's grotto. North is the temple of Hera, queen of the gods. Choose your path wisely, and tread lightly; I sense Ares' gaze upon this battlefield!"

RIDDLE ME THIS: The Sphinx can use Incapacitate as if she had 4. If the chosen number comes up on either die, Incapacitate resolves normally; if the chosen number comes up on both die, give the target 2 action tokens if it has zero action tokens.
Map Rules: Orange terrain is open-air low-gravity terrain. Figures without Flight who end a turn in this terrain take 1 unavoidable damage and it's owner may place it in their starting area. Objects in open-air terrain that are not carried are removed from the game.
-The entrance to Venus' grove can be reached by any character with Leap/climb, Phase/teleport, Flight, or being carried by a flier moving into squares A12 or A13
-The entrance into Poseidon's grotto can be reached by "falling" off the board on squares P7/P8. Careful, it might be a long drop!
-The entrance to Hera's temple is reached by moving off the board on the elevated terrain in H1,I1,J1.
Meanwhile, in the subterranean, volcanic caverns of Vulcan's foundry Pym's team of avengers discovers that if this was intended as a shortcut, it's one fraught with danger. But perhaps opportunity as well.
"We'd better keep moving. These trolls look even uglier than the ones on the surface" observes Wasp, getting a nod of agreement from Hank. "But which way is out?"
"Maybe we should ask him," suggests Wanda, pointing to the burly, bronze-skinned smith standing knee-deep in the flowing magma and hammering away upon a great anvil. The smith-god's attention fell upon the Avengers from his lookout at the top of a small volcanic peak within the cavern, but only for a moment. Then he went back to his craft until these mortal intruders proved themselves worth his notice.

what happens/might happen to Wonder Man and Hawkeye on the first map?... I intended to have them exit it momentarily, Hawkeye to the north and Wonder Man 'underground'...
do you have Gorgon and the double-based Fenris Wolf mixed up?... which is where?...
If Hawkeye and Wonderman both leave the previous map, it is no longer "in play"... Pan and the Faerie Princess will not follow them onto other maps. You can remove Artemis' Hunting Grounds, and in the future if an Avenger wishes to cross it (to get from the Agora to Vulcan's Forge) it simply costs them 1 turn to do so.
Clint and Simon would simply appear in the starting areas of the new maps with their teammates at the end of their move actions.
And yes, I mixed up the tokens on Gorgon and Sphinx. Sorry. Spinx should be number 2, but is otherwise placed correctly on the map on the east edge guarding Venus' realm.
The local inhabitants of the Forge quickly took notice of the Avengers arrival, and began to plod their way over, though they weren't quite sure if the new visitors were worth greeting or pounding.
Odds were good on pounding, though. Most new things were.

Beasts of Myth (Hunting Grounds)
WCAvengers turn 9a
Wonder Man held heavy rocks aside and watched as his teammates quickly descended into the reddish gloom. Suddenly, the huge mountain lion and the hirsute man-goat leapt around a craggy outcropping and confronted Wonder Man.
"Sorry," Simon said wryly, "you're not going to keep me from going down there. My teammates might well need me." He glanced down the hillside. He could see that Hawkeye was bringing up the rear but would certainly be able to join Mockingbird, Sersi, Vision, and Tigra safely. With a rapid move made possible by his super-powerful limbs, he turned and pulled down a few boulders to block the entrance to the underground realm. "That should keep those monsters from following us." At the same time, he thought, there was no going back up that way, either.
- Wonder Man attempts to break away > roll: 4 SUCCESS. Wonder Man enters the blocking terrain (per scenario rules) and exits this map.
( I have placed him at A24 on the map of Hephaestus' Forge; if this is incorrect, then the editors will need to intervene.... )

"These guys really do look strong and mean," the Wasp said, even though she knew it was redundant. It was part of her way to deal with stress and keep channels of communication open.
Hank might have smiled at Jan's psychology another time, but he was wracking his brain, trying to recall the connections among the gods and goddesses inthe Greek pantheon. "Moon Knight," he said, "do you know any more about these beings?"
As enigmatic as ever, the Avenger in jet and silver said nothing. Instead, Moon Knight gave a brief nod to Iron Man, who triggered his bootjets and carried Moon Knight into the fray.
'There must be a way to play these gods against each other to our advantage,' Hank thought feverishly. He recalled that they were famously jealous and often petty - at least according to the legends and textbooks.
Meanwhile, the Scarlet Wich was about to loose a hex bolt at one of the approaching trolls, but she heard a noise behind her and turned. It was Wonder Man.
"Simon," she said with relief, "you made it. I'm glad you're here with us."
Wonder Man smiled. As desperate as the Avengers' situation seemed, at least his affection for Wanda was reciprocated.

The Vision commented, "This planet features a wide variety of intelligent life forms. Are they all anthropomorphic?"
"If you mean that we humans can be self-absorbed," Mockingbird said without taking her eyes off the adversaries approaching, "then, yes. We can debate human frailties later, Vision; let's go!"
Vision acceded with a nod, and the four heroes flew across the Agora. They passed some horrific scenes on the way, as Pluto, the god of the underworld, apparently derived little pleasure from the ideas and goods exchanged or from the treasures on display at this meeting place.
'It has been a long time,' Sersi thought to herself, recalling Odysseus' visit to her island centuries earlier. She had found him very attractive, and he had been protected by Hera, wife of Zeus. How would these age-old relationships influence the current conflict?...
